West Coast Superbike School

Advanced Rider Training

Next Sunday will be fun

You won't regret it, but be prepared to take everything you learned from street riding and toss it out the window. The new riding techniques will turn your world upside down, but you'll walk away a better rider.

If you get a chance to do a track day in the states with 2fast, I highly recommend you taking a class with them as well. The ART course is awesome for getting the basics down, but I found I learned more with 2fast in 1 day than I did at my three days at west coast superbike school.

Best of luck to ya and have fun! Keep the rubber side down.

I plan on at least one advanced course per year, the ART course is the start, next season it will be a Roadcraft and possibly some Pitt Meadows 'track' days.

Hey guys, if I'm looking for a used dirt bike or classic vintage bike what website do you use for BC & washington area? I know there is craigslist but what other site(s) do you find useful?

The ART course is good. Really helps with proper body positioning.
I signed up through PRS though. Just seemed more friendly and laid back.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned before but. How did you guys break in your brand new bike? Hard break in.. .etc.?

i just rode my bike a lot the day they were installed, make sure you get on the shoulder some, but be easy with it. it's going to be slippery if you go at it like they're your old tires.

when i had my bt-45's installed by modern they said there aren't any special instructions, just take it easy and try to get as much mileage on them as quick as possible so that you can resume regularly scheduled programming.

you essentially just want to get that slick layer off them. if you ride home and take a look at the tires, you should notice a colour difference between the centre and the shoulder.

I personally use the Mototune break-in method but...your mileage may vary.

Me to, got them on Saturday , Bayside as well. Fully broken in and then some great weekend.

Now I'm thinking of trading in, not cause I don't like the tires but I've been on the fence since spring. Still pulling at me, wait till January or bite the bullet and pay the premium now. Triumph Street Triple R, Aprilia Tuono, choices.......first world problems.

i'm breaking in my SV650 right now by just following the manual....
it was a pain in the ass but I've always done so with new cars so gonna do the same with the bike. Finally over 800kms and can go past 5500 rpms hahaha

gdoh 07-05-2013 05:49 AM

fucking great. I crashed my bike this morning =[ some guy was trying to cut me off then the guy in front slammed his brakes on, I flipped over the bike and it landed on my leg. My rear set is broken, mirror snapped off, front brake lever is bent, fairing cracked and tail scuffed

i guess ill be leaving work early to pay a visit to bayside. hopefully you guys have parts for me

?NR 07-05-2013 07:08 AM

^ Aww crap man. Sorry to hear. You alright??

gdoh 07-05-2013 07:13 AM

yea I'm ok just a little down and a sore ankle, this isn't the way I wanted to start my day. I can't really be mad it was my fault for being to close.

on a side note these dainese norsorex pants helped on the impact of my hip, also I never realized how hard it is to ride a bike that is has on rear set hahah

?NR 07-05-2013 07:54 AM

cool. Good to hear man. I gotta get these norsorex pants too, been putting it off for awhile.

any crash you can walk away from, and shop for upgrade parts as replacements, is a good one :D

careful out there everyone!
