so on thursday morning coming home from school im going down 72 toward 152 right at newton exchange at the lights, i see some stupid fuck jay walk from the other side of the exchange. im travelling in the left lane with a bus to my right and a guy turning left at the lights. so i think she is going to wait in the middle at the median, but this stupid bitch on her cell phones walks right in front of me i hit the brakes locking the back and end up right beside her and i just scream at her with some choice words then she runs off.

Guess gotta splurge on a pair of specific riding only jeans. | I can not even see my self wearing jeans if I plan to highway, maybe to putt around the city but you really should get some nice textiles or even leathers. Plus leathers give you knee pucks to drag around.

Guess gotta splurge on a pair of specific riding only jeans. | There's quite a few new riding jeans out that have those d30 pads which seem to be the latest tech, they're much thinner and more flexible than the CE armor they replaced. They look great, but they're expensive.

Hello Everyone!
Yes, you've read it correctly. After 31 years in business here in Langley, I have decided to close Western Powersports.
It's time for me to retire and move on to other things. Yamaha will be moving up to Holeshot, and Triumph may be staying here. We'll make sure that our current customers continue to get great service as time goes on, no matter what happens. Many of our staff will be moving to Holeshot with Yamaha, so there will be many familiar faces.
As with everything, there are bad and good parts of this news. The bad, of course, is that Western Powersports will no longer be around; the good is that
Western Powersports will be having a "Retirement / Closing Down Sale" where we will be selling most of our Clothing and Accessories at, or even below, cost. So there will be all kinds of deals; way better than the Motorcycle show at Tradex.
On Sale Right Now ---Triumph Clothing and Accessories, as well as All of our dirt riding gear. ATV Accessories, Dirt Boots, and Yamaha Add-ons are also on at great savings; And we're having a final Tyre sale on every Tyre we have in stock. Next week, we'll have even more items on sale.
Western Powersports will be here until just before Christmas, and we will continue to take care of you everyday until then.
Demos, Demos, Demos!
ALL of our
Triumph and Yamaha Motorcycle Demos
are being sold off-
NOW's the time!
Our sales guys are weeping with every bike they sell.
You will NEVER see these deals again!
Limited Quantities. Don't Wait!
Thanks to all of our customers and friends that have dealt here for the last 31 years.
Sincerely,
Marq

Nothing too exciting. Probably better deals when closer to the time they close.

Well, what an amazing season.
Prior to May I had never touched a motorbike before.
I took the class at PRS and while it was a terrific experience and I can't recommend them enough I still didn't find bikes that exciting. However, the more I read about them, the more videos I watched, etc., the more I wanted one.
Initially I wanted a Triumph Daytona 675. I like British stuff and I love the sound of the triple. It also would have matched my SUV in the garage. However, I struggled to find a really good example (I wasn't worried about mileage but the bike had to be mint) and when I found one the seller decided to keep it and another model was a little out of my price range.
In the end I went with a 2007 Honda CBR600RR. It was literally like new. Had never been parked in the sun, had never been driven in the rain and the plastics, paint and mechanicals look like they came straight from the factory.
For a couple of reasons I am happy I made this my first bike. First, the ergonomics were perfect for me (6'2, 200lbs...) and the Daytona was a little tighter... plus, mechanically this bike seems exceptionally easy to perform work on.
NOW, I will say this... If I had started on a CBR250 or a Ninja 300 I am confident that I would have developed my riding skills (corners especially) faster because when you jump on a 100hp super-sport as your first bike you are far more cautious with straight-line acceleration, cornering, etc., then I would have been with the CBR250 or the Ninja 300... I was very cautious for several months and was more specifically just trying to stay alive then "ride..." it all started to come together in August but I know I would have been a better rider faster if I had started on a smaller bike.
As for gear, the light weight mesh Rev' It jacket I bought was good in the summer.... it had lots of armour and airflow and kept me from sweating to death... but once September hit (and especially October) I was literally on the verge of frost bite most days... lol... good learning experience.
For next year, I plan to buy a warmer, leather jacket for the early-season and late-season as well as PROPER riding boots... not the half-height Alpine Stars I used this year. I also want to get proper Kevlar jeans...
I love my Shoei X12 Reverb helmet too! EXTREMELY light, extremely cool (wicked ventilation) but very loud.... after a few weeks of riding I realized I would end every ride tired and annoyed... I started wearing earplugs and then after every ride I was fresh as a daisy!!!
Overall, I had a blast this year and I get excited everytime I get to ride my bike.
Finally, thanks to everybody in this forum as well... I don't really have a "home" on the web for bike stuff... (didn't get a good vibe from BC Sport Bikes)... so I was very happy RS had a dedicated forum.
