Opinion on the Yamaha FZ-09? I was going to go for something with some wind protection but for the price and performance this bike seems like it might be a lot of fun. You think they'll be any deals to be found at the bike show, any point in waiting? I was going to pay cash but I don't think that will help me get a better deal because it's a new model?

If you are ready to buy there maybe one at Western (Langley). It was there the other week and was marked down a bit.

Other than that it is full price on them, dealers do not have to markdown as they are hot sellers.

I can buy whenever, won't be insuring (other then storage) until spring but I have a garage. Western Power Sports is 5 minutes from me, probably pop by tomorrow and have a look.

Finally had a chance to check them out yesterday, honestly they weren't offering anything off MSRP so there is no incentive for me to buy right now. He told me flat out, new bike so no movement, if you're not going to move at all even on the Freight PDI why would I buy in the off season?

I might as well just wait until March, I can hang on to my money until then and my warranty won't start until I take possession as opposed to taking it now. I'm 90% sure I'm going to buy the FZ9 but I'll be honest I prefer the styling of the FZ8. They also have an orange FZ9 coming out soon which I wouldn't mind seeing in person. I'll check at the bike show and see if there are any deals to be had but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I think that's a good plan.

Milestone reached TODAY

I am now a "YEAR ROUND RIDER"

Last year I took my course and started to ride in January. That year I road until November.

This year I started in March and the Aprilia is plated until next week.

Today December 1 I went for a 10km ride to get gas add stabilizer for winter storage.

So now I have ridden in every month.
