Well I would like them to do well so I won't be waiting for parts haha. But yeah. 325lbs WET, Brembo brakes. ABS that comes standard and you can turn it off. Good suspension as well as a engine stronger then the ninja 300 and at a lower price point. Like come on, 32lbs wet. That is screaming cornering machine !

$5.3k?

7 years and they make it look like they just stuck a single tire onto a dirt bike frame, and stuck a mountain bike handle on top.

Kind of ugly imo, and $5.3k, id rather buy a motorcycle, or even a Vespa. Plus I wouldnt want to wear a helmet with that thing, it looks like it definitely goes slower than a pedal bike...

604STIG 02-18-2014 09:57 AM

Wow, those models/actors look so uncomfortable on that thing, looks like they're ready to bail at any second. Here's a tip, if your gonna shoot a promo, give the actors some time to ride the thing around so they actually look comfortable on it during the shoot. From the looks of it they probably threw them on that thing after a couple minuted of tooling around. FAIL.

That's a good price, considering other people have 04's or even older listed at that price.

From Surrey "Gucci Seat", and those point ass bar ends for that PIZZAZ!

Looks like a pretty sick deal, even though clean title i still worry its a rebuilt (if its a US bike I think they dont even have to declare its rebuilt so it will have a clean title in Canada)

If my friend is interested, ill check it out with him and report back.

z3german 02-18-2014 06:02 PM

Just insured, took her for a quick spin and FUCK YEAH it was fun!

After being in a cage for so long, you forget how it feels to see the outside world on two wheels. The quick spin around the block brought back everything!

fT-z33wor 02-18-2014 08:17 PM

Mannn so tempting :considered: if I don't sell the bike I think I'm going to finish prepping it for the season before I put'er back on the road.

but it's also just been so bloody nice lately argh.

Gh0stRider 02-18-2014 10:31 PM

i would like to insure a bit earlier this year. I usually insure late april, so maybe mid to late march.

320icar 02-18-2014 10:44 PM

I really want to take to grom on a demo run. I've always been for fun over speed (which is why I owned a miata for years) and just found out mnnthbx has a full product line for it. So tempting

I'm waiting until the first week of March to insure, can't wait!

Pheet 02-19-2014 01:00 AM

Hm... I'll give the bike a wash today and insure it on the 22nd :D

Gh0stRider 02-19-2014 01:13 AM

id prefer it to be over 10 degrees. *fingerscrossed*

One of the more realistic prices, one thing about most sellers is they don't take it being the off season into consideration. You're not going to get the same dollar figure for a bike in Nov-Mar as you are in July. Even at that so many overpriced used bikes, they make buying a new bike almost a no brainer. I was looking to upgrade all last summer and for the type of bike I was looking there was probably at least a dozen bikes that were for sale all summer long. If your bike does not sell in a month or less during prime riding season you're asking to much for it, common sense. I'm willing to bet most of those bikes will be back up for sale this summer at the same price for sale all summer long.

Looking to get into riding and have a few questions.
1) roughly how much gear will cost me, I don't want to cheap out as this will save my life.
2)recomendations for any stores in the lower mainland to check out
3) is a 250 ninja a good starter bike, and what are some other alternatives

Thanks

1. it depends on how much you wan to spend and what you want to get, usually for good gear will cost around $1,000 for everything (helmet, jacket, gloves, pants, boots) but you can go as cheap as $500 or as high as $3000+

2. Holeshot has a large selection of gear as does Daytona Motorsports

3. Ninja 250 is good as a starter but if you're the "power hungry" type, you'll get bored of it very quickly but if not then it's a good city commuter bike. Other bikes to consider is an older ninja 500, Suzuki GS500, or if newer then the CBR500

If you're not in a rush then online clearances from the US and local craigslist can really help to keep gear costs down, provided you know what to look for. A new helmet from the states can be less than half the price of buying locally, get it shipped to point roberts and pick it up there ( ex: Shoei Qwest Overt Helmet :: MotorcycleGear.com ). I'd never buy a used helmet fyi; try some on locally and see what fits your head.

As for the rest, if you have some time to wait for deals to show up you can do quite well on craigslist. I have a complete set of higher end gear (2-piece, gloves, boots) that total cost me about $650.
