Just curious about everyone's comfort zone for riding. I guess what I mean is do you guys prefer to be in the middle of a pack of car, sprint ahead the pack of cars and level off there, or others??? Just curious about how you other guys ride. Feel free to include anything else such as lane positioning. cheers. |
^ i'll always make an effort in not riding in other ppl's blind spots. i'll gladly speed up to pass a big group of cars just so i'll be out in the clear |
always scared when in a 2 lane and one car is making a left turn. I fear that a car will jump out of their lane and onto mine when I'm on the right lane. |
^^^ i stay in position 3 (far right) to be more visible and create more space. Also, watch the front wheels. People turn the wheel before gunning it out. obviously you never ride in a blind spot. stay behind until you have room in front to slip by quickly. If i'm stuck in a blind spot say, in traffic, i'll make a point to downshift hard or even clutch in and rev to let them know i'm there. loud pipes save lives when used properly :) my biggest fear is being rear ended! |
when im in someone's blind spot and cant go anywhere, ill speed up so i get even with his window to make sure he knows im there. most of the time i will just try to get ahead of everyone. do you guys cut to the front of the line when your at a red light? |
i wish we could filter legally. |
California actually knows what they're doing when they set their motorcycle traffic laws. |

If there's a pack of cars, I'll stay out of their blindspots as much as I can. If there's even one car I don't trust, I'll get away from it right away by either pulling ahead or falling behind. Quote:
I was a few cars back and went between everyone up to the front. There was a cop at the cross intersection waiting while his oncoming had an advance left green. I didn't see him until I got to the front Him: :suspicious: me:  |
what charlie said...i always want to get away from car's blind spots. getting ahead helps cause you know someone is not going to randomly side swipe u |
Somewhere in here there was talk about winterization and storing bikes for winter. Just a heads up to those still looking, Imperial Motorcycles (at their new location now) are storing bikes for $50/month. |
got into a car accident awhile back, tried to insure my bike after everything expired so it would take the surcharge as your second vehicle won't. It used to work apparently, but not anymore. My bike has no surcharge but no matter what, any car I insure will. Just incase anyone was wondering.. so much for beating the system :lol |
wait, what happened to the 3 year thing? Does it not apply anymore and we just get 5% each year until we max out? all this rain is making my last 2 weeks of insurance pointless ): |
anyone try logging into bcsportbikes? wonder if it is just me but I can not log in |

Anyone know if modern does pick up, and if they do, at what price? My rear tire is flat as hell (no pressure at all) and i can't find any obvious leaks or punctures anywhere. I can barely move it. Anyone in the Burnaby area that has an air compressor I can borrow to pump some air in so I can ride it to a shop to winterize, store, and fix? Posted via RS Mobile |
rode today. fucking awesome. and i can do brake stands now! woot woo |
