rexsomnii 07-09-2014 11:09 PM

this is just a small gathering with a net, ball, and couple friends.

can be organized at any park locations..
So far i find that Brewers Park has nice shade for those hot days

Summer is finally here. Who's in for some bump, set, spike?
Can be organized at any parks. I'm located in Vancouver . Looking at new locations with nice short grass. :)

In the past my friends and I have set up at Rupert park and Beaconsfield park and the grass is decent there.
Have not had a chance to check the field at Central park yet.

Anyone play drop-in vball at the community centres? Just started going to Creekside on Friday nights and Trout Lake on Sundays.

My GF goes to one in Richmond every Wed. I have no clue the name but I believe is a community center.

South Arm is the only cc with volleyball on Weds. Its too far for me tho.

Is creekside any good? Looking to play somewhere tonight and was thinking bonsor

vixroar 09-25-2015 03:42 PM

Creekside is alright, but its full for tonight. There are 3 courts but it gets pretty stuffy inside. Not much room behind the back line. Parking is a pain. Competition is hit or miss; last week it was almost all beginner level, but the week before that was solid intermediate level.

Unless u got a pass at Creekside good luck getting in with how there wait list are done. Bonsor is alright but I think Britannia has pretty decent competition there.

vixroar 09-30-2015 09:57 PM

Yeah, I bought the 10-drop in pass. It`s worth it IMO. Its cheaper per drop-in and gives you priority wait list. Otherwise, just make sure to call in early in the day. The good thing about Creekside is that it`s the only cc that lets you call in to reserve a drop-in spot.
