5 Million Dollar Underground Garage :damn:

Mind has been BLOWN!

belaud 09-01-2012 02:56 AM

The guy has a very humble vehicle taste.

1exotic 09-01-2012 03:15 AM

Maybe I'm just poor but I'd much rather have a *regularish* garage and drive/work on my cars all day instead of spending all the time/money on these show homes.

TRDood 09-01-2012 08:29 AM

That elevator shit is a waste of money if all he wants to protect is the Chevrolet Cruze. I think i see a rental sticker on that shit.

tofu1413 09-01-2012 08:39 AM

looks like it makes a great bomb shelter

extracrunchie 09-01-2012 09:45 AM

he needs better cars, why have 5 million dollar garage to store domestic cars................id just park it on the street

bing 09-01-2012 09:48 AM

if someone is blowing 5 million just on a garage to suit his idiosyncrasies, I think its safe to assume he still has a lot of money for other things.

Who cares what his taste is and how he wants to spend it? He obviously is not a conventional guy - that's why he was able to build a valuable software company. Could you say that? At the end of the day, he stimulated the economy and created jobs.

spoon.ek9 09-01-2012 12:05 PM

his money, his vision. i don't see any reason to criticize what he built or what cars he likes. plus, he's not trying to force anything on us by saying his toys are the best in the world and that we just don't understand.

That garage is so awesome :) a lot of planning and thinking went into it, he deserves credit for that. But no even a vette or a cobra 427 in there :(

trollface 09-01-2012 12:46 PM

That's Tom Gonzales's garage. This is a small chunk of his collection:

The things I would do for a smaller version of that garage.. lol

Redlines_Daily 09-01-2012 09:05 PM

He has over 400 cars, not sure why he had those particular cars on display for the video shoot...

donjalapeno 09-01-2012 09:33 PM

he obviously cleared out his garage for the documentary

Yodamaster 09-01-2012 09:52 PM

While that's all pretty neat, I fucking hate the fact that he's hoarding so many (duplicate) collectible motorcycles without ever riding them. There's racing cycles that haven't even been started? WTF.

Just buy one of each for fucks sake, let other people have the rest and actually enjoy riding them.

Hehe 09-01-2012 10:59 PM

I don't see anything wasteful about that.

If you have ever collected anything (on a very serious level), you'd know to pick at least a pair of each item.

I used to collect stamps when I was little, and I always bought them in pairs.

The property is currently listed for sale (for $50 million), perhaps the cars have already been moved to a new location.

Xavie 09-02-2012 02:44 AM

The fact is; none of us, or very few of us could ever afford anything like that so props to the guy for an awesome idea.
