Boy what if they don't get Watson AND they lose Mayfield ... |
Exactly! Even if they don't think he's the future of their franchise, they still had 1 more year. At worst, he would have been middle of the pack. And now they willingly put themselves in that desperate position of a team needing a QB. Forget the Lions, forget the Jags, Jets, etc. The Browns are the worst team in the league. They have the most losses since 2020. And Baker took a team with no defense very close to beating the Chiefs in the playoffs. Then he has an injury year and they want to get rid of them for a sex pest. Total trash franchise LUL I usually don't point to reddit, but check out the fan reaction to this. |
HE'S COMING HOME!!! My favourite non-Raven is a Raven again! :awwyeah: |
|
Von Miller to Buffalo Bills ...gotta find ways to get past KC.. |
Another disgruntled QB in the NFL. Baker requested a trade. Browns management said "NO". Oh, Cleveland. LUL "It's in the mutual interest of both sides for us to move on," Mayfield told ESPN's Adam Schefter. "The relationship is too far gone to mend. It's in the best interests of both sides to move on." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...-sides-move-on |
^ Skinnypupp and I saw this coming ... Browns will be left with no QB after the music stops ... which isn't a bad thing for the rest of the division. |
I don't blame the Browns for wanting to upgrade from him if they don't think he has what it takes. But to do it this way is what only the most rinkadink organizations do. They are absolutely going to lose fans for this. I just saw that they are no longer in on Watson, but still. Falcons are in a similar situation with Matt Ryan. Maybe they should trade QBs LUL (edit: NM sounds like they are the ones getting Watson) |
WutFace I wonder if he didn't pass his physical after all? The team has very strict standards apparently, and he has a bad back |
The Official *NFL* thread Wow!!! The Browns get Watson in a trade. Watson gets a five year, fully guaranteed $230 million contract from Cleveland. Houston gets five 1st round picks. They pulled a rabbit out of a hat with this deal: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...81e06be92f.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Interesting development ... should have sent Mayfield the other way. Sorry but Watson not worth 5 first round picks. |
Unbelievable. After 20 years, Browns started to become likeable, beat Pittsburgh in the playoffs, and were a few plays away from beating the Chiefs. Then they're like NOPE THAT'S NOT OUR IDENTITY and go and do this. They are going to lose a lot of fans. "We want an adult at QB" and then they go and hire someone with dozens or sexual misconduct allegations He's good at the Foot Ball though, so... |
The way they enticed him to the team was giving him a $230 million contract that is 100% guaranteed And they know he'll be suspended for some or all of the first year, so his salary that year is $1 million WutFace |
Matt Ryan to Indianapolis ... Mayfield has no dance partner left ... maybe Seattle? |
Ryan was still really good, he could have an MVP level season with Indy. People say he's washed, but Atlanta was one of the worst teams in the league, and he carried them to mediocrity. I expect them to have a Jags/Lions level season this year. Not much left for Seattle.. Please don't tell me they're actually sticking with Drew Lock LUL |
New Orleans re-signs Winston for 2 yrs. Another landing spot gone. |
That leaves Baker and Jimmy G for Seattle to go after. With Baker, they should be able to get Cleveland to give picks for them to take him off their hands, but since there are only 2 QBs left, maybe Cleveland figures they have the upper hand now. Jimmy G is going to be very expensive for Seattle to get, if it's even possible. Big trades within the division.. do they happen at all? |
No Team will stuipd enough to trade a decent QB to its division rival Jimmy G won't be going to Seattle |
It looks like Hill will likely be traded, Kansas City going to be taking a huge step back. This is what happens when you give your QB all the money, should be interesting to watch that team fall apart over the next few years. |
Hill to MIAMI! |
Holy SHIT KC Big 3 no more jumping on Buffalo bangwagon now |
Hill's stock going down significantly, Tua is not Mahomes. |
Someone is going to get exposed... Most likely Hill, but who knows! Once teams were able to cover Hill and Kelce, Mahomes was very very limited with what he could do. It took them a long time to switch to more of short passing slow moving offense, and it wasn't nearly as deadly. Now they only have to worry about Kelce, because as far as we know nobody fits into the Chiefs offense like Hill did. Also how many more seasons will Kelce and Reid be around? We can thank the Raiders for resetting the WR salary when they signed Davonte LUL Mahomes actually has a very favorable contract considering his importance, but Hill wanted more money. Not everyone is in it to win it, some are there to get paid and bounce. |
Surprised! |
