FUCKING :lawl:

All they had to do is run out the clock. Sure you win a game without scoring a TD, but you win a game.

But nope, have to be a hero

What a game! EleGiggle

whitev70r 10-06-2022 08:22 PM

just watched highlights ... what a joke in Denver. Russell with an int in the endzone giving the Colts > 2 mins left to get a tying FG. I would have wanted a camera shot on John Elway up in the box.

HE ACTUALLY SAID IT AT THE END OF HIS POST GAME PRESSER

Overall, there has been quite a bit of poor quality NFL football so far this season.

For once, I agree with TB12. LUL

“I think there’s a lot of bad football from what I watch,” Brady said Thursday. “Poor quality of football, that’s what I see.”

There are 15 teams with a 2-2 record going into week 5. Eight teams have a sub .500 record now.

https://www.si.com/nfl/2022/10/06/to...%20own%20team.

Well, at least there is still time in the season for Wilson and the offence to fix their games. Especially, Russell.

Russ is definitely not cooking now. :lawl:

Yeah, I agree with you SkinnyPup. Wilson could have let the game clock run out. He makes that throw into tight coverage and misses his read on a wide open receiver, K.J. Hamer.

As bad as Wilson played, the worst part is that his decision making ability as a QB is so hard to watch.

Russ had two options on that play on fourth down and 1 on the Colts 6 yard line. A) Run the game clock out or B) Make a better read and throw the ball a wide open receiver in K.J. Hamler.

Hamler could have walked in easily into the Colts end zone for a TD.

I don't blame Hamler for his meltdown and slamming his helmet on the field hahaha.

It will be an uphill battle for the Broncos because of injuries to their offence.

WR Javonte Williams is out with a season ending knee injury. Torn ACL.

Offensive tackle Garet Bolles is out because of a broken leg.

Bender Unit 10-07-2022 02:01 PM

added cornerback Ronald Darby (knee) will miss the remainder of the season.

Russ can't cook
He missed DK and Tyler Lockett

roastpuff 10-07-2022 03:55 PM

I have Cooper Rush or Zach Wilson for the QB slot. Who I play? Screwed both ways lol. (Tua was my OG QB but he's out)

SkinnyPupp 10-07-2022 04:29 PM

Well Cooper Rush is 3-0 as a starter (or is it 4-0) and Rams are in a bad state right now. Dallas are dogs in that game and even McCarthy couldn't believe it... When he was told he was like "we're the underdogs??" and laughed

Zach Wilson showed signs of improvement in the Steelers game, especially the drive at the end, but hasn't proven he can be counted on just yet. He's a much riskier pick IMO

Wilson is playing like he has zero confidence in himself or his team. He showed this over the last few years in Seattle, although it never got this bad. The checkdowns on third and long is Alex Smith or mid-late 10's Joe Flacco levels of bad.

What's crazy is they signed him to a 5 year extension even though they didn't really have to.. They could have waited 2 years to do that to see if he was the right fit. Now they're stuck with him no matter what, at least for a couple years. Next year he'd be like $110m in dead cap, $80m the year after.

Sucks because their D is really good and pretty fun to watch. They destroyed poor Matty Ice the Stoneage Pony.

SkinnyPupp 10-07-2022 04:42 PM

Pete Carroll looking like a genius.. Not only is Geno balling out (if only they could get their defense in order), the Seahawks are going to be able to build quickly with all the draft capital the Broncos gave them - 1st and 2nd round picks in 2023 and 2024. Those could end up being high picks too, maybe higher than Seattle's own LUL

If rumours are true that a divorce is brewing in TB's marriage ... boy, what a stupid decision to unretire. Come back to a mediocre Bucs team and blew up your marriage for that. Good call TB12!

What a game! What a performance by the Giants

I am glad that the league implemented a new concussion protocol effective immediately.

Player safety and health needs to be a bigger priority in the NFL. Brain injury, CTE is nothing to be messed around with.

whitev70r's commentary for week 5 ... not that anyone really cares.

1. Cooper Rush is for real ... he's going to get a starting job somewhere soon.
2. Miami Dolphin QB position is jinxed.
3. Pittsburgh rookie QB .. moral victory in not getting shut out and putting up 3 pts gainst Buffalo's 38.
4. Carson Wentz at WSH... prob one of the most overpaid QB's in the league, 2nd be Goff in DET.
5. Baker Mayfield, I want to introduce you to Russell Wilson ... that's what you will look like in the future, minus the one SB ring.
6. Why does it feel so damn good when GB loses ... NYG, GG!
7. Only because Bengals is scheduled to play Ravens ... one of those teams will have a winning record in that terrible AFC North division ... just terrible!

SkinnyPupp 10-09-2022 05:49 PM

Tied going into halftime this time, good!

Ravens with a hard fought win.

Although Lamar had a rough game in terms of passing, he lead his team on the winning drive with his arm and legs.

Good recovery from the Ravens after blowing a ten point lead.

The Ravens defence stepped up in this game. Impressive stand in the third quarter with the Bengals on 1st and goal from the 2.

On to Rutherford, Jersey to face the Giants next week!

My Pats shut out the Lions, 29-0. LUL

Yeah those passes to guys like Tylan Wallace, Demarcus Robinson, and James Proche were pretty brutal. I wonder how much of it is due to bad chemistry with guys who would be on the practice squad on most teams?

Once he went to Money Mark pretty much exclusively and started running, they just took over

Harbs should get credit for NOT going for it on 4th down this time. The FG perfectly set up the 2 minute comeback. You can tell he really didn't want to go for it the first time either, but Lamar always wants to be the hero. They need to work out when is the right time and place though. Not with this this receiving squad.

SkinnyPupp 10-09-2022 09:12 PM

Just finished up the daytime games on Red Zone, lots of great finishes! Red Zone is awesome when you don't really have a specific game you want to watch.

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS! Finally win a division game, and it was a blowout. Even with Teddy or Tua in there the result would be the same

Brownies LOSE! It's a mini travesty every time they win, so that's good to see

Bills gooning it up trying to end Pickett's career early with cheap shots. You have to be pretty dirty to make the Steelers look sympathetic. There better be some long suspensions

Brady whining for penalties, some refs give him an unsportsmanlike, but this time the ref just gifted him a roughing the passer call. Brady was kicking his feet up in the air like a fucking baby, I couldn't believe my eyes. Brady should have at least a 1 game suspension for making the sport look bad. Just retire Tom, fucks sake

Give one to Hayden Hurst and Jacoby Brissett too. So much flopping in football lately.

Poor Trevor Lawrence, seems to take 2 steps forward one game, and 3 steps back the next game. Jags are still BRUTAL to watch sometimes. Jesus

Carson Wentz being Carson Wentz. Usually funny but sucks when the Titoons and Vrabel benefit from it

That's what comes to mind for the daytime games. Good for the Zapper to get a win and shutting out the "best offense in the league" but Red Zone didn't show much of that game.

Afternoon games now, it's so sad to see games played in LA, where the visiting fans outnumber the home team fans by 90:10

Edit: These games were not as exciting. I was really hoping Baker would work out in Carolina, but not a chance.

I don't think Cooper Rush is a great QB. Great backup for sure, but everything is working out for him. It will be pure comedy if Dak takes over and they start losing again though EleGiggle

Micah Parsons is a phenom

Kyler is such a phenomenal athlete, but I don't know about his awareness of the game. When they actually had to put in for him to study during the week right into his contract that looks bad enough, but then he slides half a yard short of 1st down for no reason, then SPIKES IT ON THIRD DOWN.

Bengals and Browns aren't terrible teams... Well the Browns are, but on the field they are fine

Terrible divisions: AFC South, NFC South.

And USUALLY NFC East but this year it's NFC BEAST as Mario would say.

SkinnyPupp 10-10-2022 05:41 PM

Another bullshit Roughing The Passer call on MNF. Not anywhere near as bad as the Brady one (that should result in Boger being fired), but holy shit.

whitev70r 10-10-2022 07:01 PM

Looking like an exciting finish ... you might want to tune in.

Wow ... KC tried for 2 leading 30-23 ... didn't get it the 2 pt conversion. Why? If you get the FG, it'd be 31-23 ??!!

Then Raiders tried for 2 behind 30-29 ... didn't get it ... why did you do that, I don't get it? You kick the FG and you're tied with > 4 mins left.

Welp ... not as exciting as I hoped. Bit of a wimper of an ending. So now, coach of Raiders ... do you still think it was a good idea to go for 2 pts?

Don't know how KC always pull a win out of their arse ... but if Buffalo and KC go at it again, I think Buffalo will come out ahead.

SkinnyPupp 10-10-2022 07:50 PM

Going for 2 was the right call there, people are just reacting to the result rather than the call.

The game was decided on Jacobs coming inches short, and the Raiders getting a stop when they could barely stop them before. They needed two things to happen, one of which was very unlikely, and got 1/2 of them (the less likely one at that!).

Alternatively, it would have been decided on hitting the 1 point conversion AND getting that stop AND winning the coin toss AND scoring another FG (which as we saw, they couldn't do it) or TD (less likely) AND stopping Mahomes again if FG, when they could barely do it in the last 3 quarters, or lose the coin toss and hope to stop him (highly unlikely but possible).

It was 100% the right call. As a Ravens fan, I am all too familiar with people reacting to good coaching based on failed results by the players. A big part of any game plan against Mahomes or Rodgers and those guys is to keep them to as few possessions as possible. Overtime gives them an extra posession or more. Even worse if they win the coin toss!

I was really looking forward to this game, and it was really good up until that bad RTP call. After that the refs decided they better favor the Chiefs on every call to be able to make it out of there alive, so that's what happened. Imagine a defensive holding call on a field goal try? Somehow everything goes the Chiefs way, even when they're not playing as well as they can.

SkinnyPupp 10-13-2022 07:31 PM

ResidentSleeper

Bears somehow find themselves on the doorstep of a win, but still can't do it with 4 tries. Too bad

Fields can be good but not the way they have him playing. They're not making use of his tools whatsoever; it's like a high school level offense.

SkinnyPupp 10-14-2022 03:53 PM

Please retire Tom

whitev70r 10-14-2022 05:45 PM

^ yes, save your marriage. Mediocre season not worth it. Your team is NOT going to the SB.
