Bailey zapped the Steelers haha. Three TD throws. Belichick has Mike Tomlin's number in career head to head meetings. Bill's record is 10-3 against Tomlin. Although the Pats are projected in getting the second overall pick in the next draft, there is no quitting on this team. The players played with a lot of pride. They played for themselves and for their coach. Good article: https://www.nfl.com/news/patriots-sa...-to-get-a-win- Veteran safety Jabrill Peppers said after the win that he's happy to get the W for a coach he believes has taken far too much heat for the 3-10 record. "We needed it. I just feel good we could get it done for Bill and the rest of the coaches," Peppers said via ESPN. "I don't really like all the flak he's been getting, because it's on us as players to go out and execute. I personally feel like the game plan has been phenomenal week in and week out, and when we had opportunities to make plays, we didn't make them. But we made enough tonight. "No one has quit in this locker room," center David Andrews, per the Associated Press. "We're fighting, we're working. We're trying to get better. That's all you can do. That's all you can ask for. It hasn't been perfect." Pats' defence played well. They have been the backbone of the team throughout this season. -forced an interception from Trubisky. The defence stymied the Steelers' running game. |
Pats defense has been really good, which is why they're setting weird stats like being the only team to only allow 10 points but still lose LUL And yeah, we talked about this here and the Canucks threads before.. Players and coaches do NOT tank. Even if it costs them the top pick, they will not tank. Jets missed out on Trevor Lawrence because of it, and last year the Texans missed the top pick (which ended up working out anyway, of course) |

Rourke was activated off the practice roster too |

How am I supposed to sleep now? Seriously |
The big theme of Week 14 ... it's a long season and teams go through twists and turns. Some teams in week 7 that I thought were the runaway faves have back to back losses - Philly, Chiefs, Jaguars, and the mighty Steeler (K, j/k on this one) and other teams that I thought were dead in week 7 are still alive - Broncos, Packers. Gotta give Josh Allen kudos, playing with a lot of heart, don't know if they will make it into the playoffs and even if they do, they are done 1 and out but he is laying it all out every single game. Detroit, I'm cheering for you ... don't drop off the precipice in the next 4 games, you were doing so well. Do we have to accept one team from NFC South into the playoffs? They are all so shitty. Can there be a rule that if division leader is not playing at least .500 football, then you automatically forfeit your division title spot into the playoffs. Philly and Dallas is an interesting race to watch, one will be division leader (or #1 seed in the NFC) and the other will be in as a wildcard. |
Quite an ugly reaction by Mahomes, freaking out over a very legitimate foul committed by his teammate. The guy's foot was PAST the ball LUL Of all the shit calls and non calls the refs have had this year, that was not one of them. Chiefs have benefitted from calls going their way for the last 5 years.. Now it's pretty neutral and they are losing their minds. Now they get to see how a lot of other teams have it. That benefit has gone from the Patriots to the Chiefs, and now seemingly to the Eagles and/or Cowboys. Broncos could win that division! Joe Flacco continuing with his ELITE level of play... I hate that it's benefiting the Browns but I need the Jags to lose, so thanks Joe for that. I hope he keeps playing well, but starts losing again KEKW I know there's a lot of Browns fans who can feel comfortable cheering for their team again.. The team still threw their future away, but that guy is gone for the year, so they can just enjoy some good football for the rest of the season and maybe even the playoffs. Seattle made a game of it in San Francisco A game that could have gone either way, but not with Drew Lock probably. Metcalf had a Mahomes-like meltdown, but it came out as anger instead of crying. It annoys me how much Brock Purdy reminds me of Tom Brady. No I'm not saying he's at that level, but he reminds me of him. Just running the system, first down, no emotion on the field, go make the plays. Scary scary team. In other sad news, the Patriots have been officially eliminated from playoff contention this season Sadge |
TOMMY PASTRAMI WITH THE GAME WINNING DRIVE! FAT RANDY PIPES IT FOR THE WIN! Fun game! Dolphins game is finishing and the Titoons gifted them 21 points but are on a drive of their own! |
welp ... spoke too soon about the Packers. NY Giants was playing some really good tight football though! |

BTW this game proves without any doubt that Tyreek is the MVP of the league. Dolphins are probably a 5-12 team without him |
Ravens copy what the Bengals are doing, and sign a backup that is basically the B-version of their main quarterback. Snoop will probably be signed as a starter next season, or a high paid backup. Somewhat surprised the Patriots didn't give him a chance with two awful QBs (not really) Edit: His teammates respected him too |
It's not official yet but it looks like BB will be out as Patriots head coach, to be replaced by Jerod Mayo. Yup, the Patriots linebacker. Fascinating! |

I think that the Raiders will hire Bill. -do not see the Raiders' owner Davis hiring back Gruden, aka Chucky. Interesting article in Sports Illustrated though: Last week, Sports Illustrated reported that Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis would love to bring back coach Jon Gruden for a third tenure as the franchise's head coach in 2024 |
Wow... never saw that coming even with the Pats being so bad |
https://theathletic.com/5114942/2023...lichick-trade/ Interesting. Bill would have the right to refuse a trade though. Maybe Robert Kraft is trying to get a first round pick from teams like the Panthers or Commanders. LUL |
Raiders proving that what happens in one game has no bearing on what's going to happen in the next game Edit: 40 burger by halftime KEKW |
Double pass to make it 49-0 KEKW I love it when blowouts are divisional games. KEEP THE FOOT ON THE GAS Edit: Big Man TD for the 50 burger! EleGiggle |
PICK 6 FOR 63! EleGiggle Dolphins record within sight! |
Last MNF's spanking of the Chargers by the Raiders got the coach (and GM) fired. |
Couldn't sleep last night so I actually watched the Bungles/Vikings game live. It was pretty fun watching two mediocre quarterbacks just say fuck it, and make ridiculous throws that could go either way. Unfortunately two of them went the Bungles way, so the Vikings lost FeelsBadMan Squealers looked scary at first vs the Colts, but that didn't last very long. Fun to see a team rally from behind in front of their home crowd. Lions vs Broncos started tight, but then the Lions just ran away with it. Surprisingly this was the most boring of the three |
Some good news for my Pats. Former BC Lions QB Nathan Rourke plays for New England. Pats claimed him off waivers. Bye bye Jacksonville. https://www.tsn.ca/nfl/new-england-p...uars-1.2050619 I think that Rourke has a good chance of being the starting QB over Mac one day. |
Would be great if he got a start, but man it would be scary to play behind that line. |
I found this interesting |
