Looks like Cook signing with the Ravens. If he's not to washed it can't really hurt you, he didn't play bad last year it seems more like NYJ just wasn't a fit for him. I still find it funny the Vikings offered him 7m a year where he would have continued to be the RB1 and he turned it down to go play for the Jets? I don't think that gamble paid off but if he wins a SB in Baltimore then I guess it kind of did lol.

Once again proving no RB can retire before playing for the Ravens at least once LUL

He didn't look spectacular on the Jets, but the Jets really suck*, so... We'll see! I assume he's just RB4 rather than actually replacing Gordon or Hill. Or RB6 really due to injuries lol

I'm actually surprised because aren't there rumors about this guy? Usually they stay away from people like him if the allegations are credible.

*Breece Hall did look spectacular at times though

What a comeback win for the Bills!

AFC East division winners for the fourth straight year.

Yah ... good game between Bills and Dolphins. You kinda want to win going into the playoffs. A lot of meaningless games this weekend. Any notables in Week 18, let's see:

- KC, Philly looking vulnerable.
- AFC North, first time in NFL that all teams have winning records.

For next week:
- 1st round AFC matchups, they could all go either way. Bunch of 11-6 playing 10-7 teams. Going with Buffalo, KC, and Cleveland.
- 1st round NFC matchups, Dallas better get out of 1st round or else heads will roll. Philly has to beat Tampa, right? And Det vs. LA ... kinda want Det to advance but LA will be a tough out for Detroit.

SkinnyPupp 01-07-2024 11:39 PM

Philly and Jax just got so beat up over the stretch. Eagles won enough to get in, but it doesn't look good for them. Jags came up just short. They need to give Trevor an O-line, or he'll just keep getting beat up until he gets worn out.

Bills vs Dolphins was fun. People trying to talk up Josh Allen as the MVP.. Like are these people desperate for a white QB to win it? Jesus. Bills D and ST gave him enough room to work with as they shut Tua down.

Jam Tyreek at the line.. Tua throws with one read timing, and if you fuck up that timing, he throws it anyway and you'll pick him off. Chiefs did it, Bills did it. Ravens didn't but they were able to cover him somehow. I still prefer the Chiefs and Bills method.

Playoff time lets go! Nervous, cautiously optimistic. Hope to see Mark Andrews back, even though Likely has stepped up big time.

Prob hit about as much as you did. ~ 50% ... it's a crapshoot. I mean 1/3 into the season, it looked like Philly, KC, SF was running away with it. Last 3rd of the season, Ravens clearly got stronger and peaked.

GB just snuck in really.

For 1st round ... we both made similar picks so we'll see. Except you got Texans over Flacco? and I picked Lions, you got Rams.

pastarocket 01-08-2024 08:22 AM

-looking forward to the NFC wild card game on Sunday between the Lions and Rams.

The narrative of two QBs Goff and Stafford playing against their former teams is in the background of this game.

68style 01-08-2024 10:39 AM

Will Stafford be playing? I noticed Wentz balled out the 49ers game... wasn't sure if they were just resting Stafford or what

SkinnyPupp 01-08-2024 02:11 PM

Maybe it's at my own peril, but this miracle Flacco run seems so fugazi to me lol

I think realistically he should be expected to play more like the second half of the Jets game than the first. Maybe somewhere in the middle I guess.

@68style yes Stafford will be playing, he was just resting

I just see the Rams being able to pick apart the weak secondary of the Lions. Stafford is ridiculously underrated, once his hand healed up. He's a top 5 QB easily, maybe top 3

I'd go

1) Lamar
2) Dak
3) Stafford
4) Allen
5) Purdy

The last 3 you can probably move around but top 2 are locked in

SkinnyPupp 01-09-2024 02:11 PM

2022 coach of the year Mike Vrabel was fired after the 2023 season.

Patriots bound?

Will Henry follow? Will Tannehill? lol

Pete Carroll out as Seahawks coach, will serve as team adviser
I guess the Team want a change since nothing is improving.

whitev70r 01-10-2024 12:55 PM

^ interesting ... didn't see that coming.

SkinnyPupp 01-10-2024 02:17 PM

Yeah that's a bit of a shocker. Less shocking I guess that he's staying with the team in some way.

I feel like they didn't really give him the pieces he needed to really be successful. If anything, they overachieved?

68style 01-10-2024 02:41 PM

Agreed, Coach was the least of their problems

whitev70r 01-10-2024 02:53 PM

If he wanted to be HC, I'm sure a few teams looking would love to have Carroll. That team might just have to give Seattle a 2nd or 3rd round pick. I see that coming.

Bender Unit 01-10-2024 08:45 PM

Good luck to Belichick! Six Super Bowl rings for the Pats under Coach Bill.

Not many teams can say that they had a NFL dynasty of six championships under one coach.

Hearing rumours that the Atlantic Falcons are interested in hiring him.

This one is not a surprise like Carroll. But yah ... he should be recognized for the Pats dynasty but please, go quietly and retire for heaven's sakes. If you still want to get a salary, get a behind the scenes job (like a special advisor) and walk away from coaching, don't be the Brett Favre of coaches.

mikemhg 01-11-2024 10:49 AM

Carroll is pushing 71 here, you can't assume they fired him, it could be perhaps time to simply move into a more advisory role at his age.

I'm sure they already have someone lined up that Pete has given his graces to.

whitev70r 01-11-2024 01:47 PM

I think you can assume they fired Carroll as the coach. In a presser, it looked like he was surprised, he wanted to remain as a coach. He's a helluva energetic 71 yo!! Belichick on the other hand is also 71 and he looks OLD!

Oh ... and damn, Belichick just signed an extension this past summer ... secretive though, no numbers released but I guess Kraft was willing to part with that contract $$?

News report said that the owner relieved Carroll of his duties as coach of Seahawks. BUT he's still under contract till 2024 for like $15M/yr so they have to keep him and give him an office. This and if they keep him, and another team wants him as a coach, they have to give Seattle a pick or two. Had they outright let him walk away or 'fired' him, then I think he'd be a free agent to go coach any team.
