^ Well, let's hope Love is mentally stable out of that list of 3. Right now, it looks like he is.

Lions pull out the victory and are heading to San Fran. Bucs put up a good fight but man, the right team won. It would have felt so weird having the Bucs in the championship game lol

Starting Bills vs Chiefs now!

Wide right, again!! Wow, Bills kicker missed the field goal to tie the game.

Chiefs win. Mahoney played a great game.

Very tough loss for the Bills and their Bills Mafia fans.

They deserved a better result.

yah, that position, Bills Kicker is jinxed. Doesn't matter who.

SkinnyPupp 01-21-2024 06:37 PM

WOW. Wide right are you fucking kidding me!

Not all on the kicker though - there was some questionable play calling leading up to it. First down probably would have been favorable to a TD, but they kept going for the home run. High risk, low reward, makes little sense to me.

Crazy game, evenly matched teams. Fans chanting "MVP" for Josh Allen can shut up though KEKW

I think the Ravens match up well to the Chiefs, but this is Mahomes so you never know. Kelce will be able to body their small secondary, so that's tough. Hopefully Humphrey is back. Also hope they adapt more quickly to what the Chiefs defense brings. Ravens D was able to keep the Texans out of the red zone all game as the offense adapted, but that won't be the case with the Chiefs.

What's cool is the championship games are all 4 great teams all year

SkinnyPupp 01-21-2024 07:21 PM

Bills made a great run to win the division and make it into the playoffs

But do you think they keep Sean McDermott? They just seem to shrink in the big spots, especially on D. 13 seconds man. On the other hand, he gets them there every year, as a top contender.

Also they are in cap hell next year. $54 million going to Diggs and Miller, both of whom completely disappeared down the stretch. Miller never recovered from the ACL so you have to think he retires now. They're stuck with Diggs the way his contract is. Can't cut or trade. And you know he's going to have a meltdown over the offseason after a game like this (and missing that catch has to burn)

whitev70r 01-21-2024 07:24 PM

I mean if Dallas kept McCarthy ... then I'd think the Bills owners would try another run with McDermott. Plus, McDermott just got an extension. But we'll see.

I'm pretty sure the kicker is gone. Unfortunate though cuz like you alluded to, it didn't have to come down to that.

SkinnyPupp 01-21-2024 08:11 PM

Yeah I'm not advocating that they fire him, but I just wonder how aggro they'll be after a loss like this at home, after a pretty rough season. I think he's a great coach and good for the team. They have some holes to fill on offense though (sounds familiar) and maybe a new kicker. Their defense would be great if not for the injuries.

So the issue is their perimeter, and salary cap. Coaching SHOULD stay the same. But some teams get antsy... 21-22 were their all-in seasons (Von Miller was to be the final piece), and this was the shoulder season.. Next year could be rebuild or recover from cap. Going to be crazy times for the Bills

SkinnyPupp 01-24-2024 05:14 PM

Chargers land Jim Harbaugh

He's bringing DC Jesse Minter with him from Michigan. John Harbaugh sent him Minter and Michael MacDonald from the Ravens staff to develop into OCs (and help him finally win that championship), with the idea that they'd come back to the Ravens when NFL ready.

MacDonald has been amazing. There's talk about him landing a head coaching job after this season, and in that case the Ravens would get Minter back, but it looks like that's not in play anymore. Hopefully MacDonald decides head coaching is not for him just yet! Some guys prefer to be OCs (Todd Monken has said this iirc)

For GM they're interviewing Ravens director of player personnel (who helped land Roquan Smith) and Giants assistant GM among I assume others. They'll need a good GM to fill out the rest of the team. They got the QB, they got the coach, but that's about it really.

More bad news for my Pats.

WR Kayshon Boutte is arrested for illegal online gaming bets.

The brother made 8900 illegal bets when he played in college at LSU.

https://www.si.com/nfl/patriots/news...tte-lsu-gaming

According to WAFB's reporting: "While he was still a minor, Boutte is accused of creating a fraudulent online gaming account indicating that he was 21 years old or older and, therefore, legally allowed to gamble."

He is accused of using the fraudulent account to place approximately 9,000 bets, including six on LSU football games. WAFB says the wagers and payouts involved “several hundred thousand dollars.”

It's crazy that the only team interested in Bill Belichick is the Falcons, and they are trying their hardest not to hire him. One of the greatest coaches in history, but it seems like people think he can't hang in today's NFL (or can't do it without Brady)

The thing about hiring him is he is going to completely take over the team and change its culture. Even Jarod Mayo says he is going to move the Patriots away from BB's culture

SkinnyPupp 01-25-2024 05:08 PM

Panthers and Falcons get their coaches, and it's not BB.

mikemhg 01-25-2024 05:15 PM

I'm not surprised people don't want BB.

That plantation slave owner style of coaching doesn't fly in the NFL the same way it used to, players won't want to go there.

SkinnyPupp 01-25-2024 05:19 PM

Last two teams are the Seahawks and Commandos. Seahawks I highly doubt are interested since they kept Carroll on staff and presumably want to keep his culture going, or build on it. Commandos they went and hired a superstar GM so I doubt it.

There are some coordinators in the championships that teams have interviewed. Ben Johnson of Detroit is seemingly guaranteed to get a job. Mike MacDonald in Baltimore is the other big name since he has been able to deal with Shanahan style offense. Steve Spagnuolo in KC has been talked about regarding the Commandos

mikemhg 01-26-2024 10:29 AM

BB won't go to Seattle, that would be fucking nuts by ownership.

That's a full 180 on Seahawks culture, I can't see them doing that, Seattle is a player forward team like the Dolphins.

Bender Unit 01-26-2024 11:53 AM

Mike Vrabel or Dan Quinn for Seahawks

but Dan Quinn f--ked it up from the last Dallas playoff game.

SkinnyPupp 01-26-2024 02:19 PM

Greg Olsen is a name not many are talking about, as he's going to be replaced by Tom Brady on FOX next year, and I don't know if he wants to sit on a B team. Might be too late now though, and maybe he should start as a TE coach or something and work his way up.

SkinnyPupp 01-26-2024 02:22 PM

Mark Andrews in for Ravens, Joe Thuney out for Chiefs. Losing Thuney will hurt them significantly - probably the 3rd worst player for them to lose, after Mahomes and Kelce. Pacheco is questionable with a toe (I think he finished the Bills game though which 99% means he'll play). Humphrey questionable but has been practicing full. Willie Gay another big one, questionable but will likely play. He'll likely be spying on Lamar like he was for Allen.

When everything is going in your team's favour that just makes you more nervous lol monkaS

Why wouldn't they just hire her as the halftime act LUL

whitev70r 01-26-2024 07:16 PM

You probably already know this but for others who don't. NFL doesn't 'hire' halftime performers ... contractually, they are not paid because apparently, it gives the performer so much exposure. Except in this case, Swifty has more exposure internationally than NFL already.

Someone has to be paying the artists lol.. Most likely the Halftime Show's sponsor, which lately has been Pepsi
