Spagnuolo did have a HC run with the Rams and it did NOT go well lol.. 10-38 across 3 seasons WutFace

That was quite a while ago though, so yeah it is somewhat surprising he never got another opportunity. Or maybe he's just not interested and is good with winning rings as a dynasty coordinator

SkinnyPupp 02-14-2024 03:23 PM

More on Steve Wilks, who was brought in to improve the 49ers' backfield but it seems to have come at the expense of the run game

Patrick Mahomes video

This video was short, because the Youtube version are highlights, and Mahomes didn't really have any highlights in the first half. And when they came out flat in the second, I was wondering if we were watching another Bengals-like meltdown.

As much as this was a magical Mahomes game, you can really see how the 49ers defense were struggling. After seeing this footage, it's not surprising at all that Steve Wilks was shitcanned. Seems to me like any team coming out of the AFC (except the Dolphins) would have beat them. He got them pretty far though

I haven't watched the Brock Purdy one yet, here it is

And on Patreon they'll have a full review of every play.

Bro, smoke a doobie and relax. The very essence of music, performers, and artists is that some people like, some people don't like. Why be so triggered by lil old me's opinion. I still like you though ... regardless.

I'm not mad at ya, that comment wasn't really directed at you. I was reading some comments by people outside of here that don't know Usher's music and were saying the performance was "mid".

That triggered me :lol

Jimmy G busted for doping

Raiders off the hook for his $11.25 million

Gee, I wonder how the NFL found out?

68style 02-17-2024 08:03 AM

Imagine losing $11M cuz you got a prescription lol

whitev70r 02-17-2024 01:33 PM

^ sounded like they were going to release him anyhow, this incident or not. He got paid the guarantee, if he is released, Raiders save like $11.5M

That is one thing about NFL contracts that you don't see in NHL. In the NHL, a contract seem pretty iron clad ... I mean you can't 'release' OEL, he'd still get his full salary till the end of his contract term. In NFL, many players are 'released' before the end of their contract and whatever was guaranteed was paid but the rest of the salary ... player is SOL.

SkinnyPupp 02-17-2024 02:30 PM

They were going to release him, but they'd have to pay the guarantee if he didn't get suspended. Since he got suspended, they're off the hook for $11.5 million and their dead cap goes down for him too

100% they snitched LUL

whitev70r 02-17-2024 02:53 PM

Here is explanation from ESPN:

Sources said the Raiders are expected to release Garoppolo before the fifth day of the new league year in mid-March, when he would earn an $11.25 million roster bonus. Garoppolo also has an $11.25 million base salary guarantee for the 2024 season that now could be voided because of the suspension.

The quarterback signed a three-year, $72.75 million contract that included $33.75 million guaranteed with Las Vegas in March, when Josh McDaniels was the team's head coach and Dave Ziegler the general manager.

SkinnyPupp 02-23-2024 04:51 PM

An increase over over $30M from last season. The good GMs are about to be separated from the bad ones. Players in key positions about to get paid.

^ the Loui Eriksson or Joffrey Lupol of NFL.

But some team can pick him up for discount as a 2nd string QB, whatever is minimum.

Yup and the Broncos are on the hook for his salary no matter what team he plays for LUL

whitev70r 03-04-2024 01:47 PM

I just read that if team X signs him, then the Broncos cap would be relieved by that much. But knowing that, why would you offer him more than minimum? :lol

Exactly! Screw them! EleGiggle

SkinnyPupp 03-04-2024 01:58 PM

My favourite non Ravens receiver (him and DK) gets $26 mil for 2 years :ahwow:

It was never going to happen lol... There are rumors that they're interested in bringing Michael Thomas as a vet to replace OBJ. Problem is he plays like 5 games a season on average :fuckthatshit:

SkinnyPupp 03-04-2024 08:42 PM

Hilarious thing about Wilson is that all the games he played for Denver were on the contract he took with him from Seattle. He didn't play a single game of the 5 year extension they gave him KEKW

All time worst signing, until the Browns do whatever they'll do with Deshaun Watson

pastarocket 03-05-2024 10:18 AM

One of my co-workers, a big Niners fan, mentioned all the internal movement and new hiring in terms of coaching staff for the Niners.

Nick Sorensen is promoted into the role as defensive coordinator from the defensive pass game specialist and nickel cornerbacks coach position

Brandon Staley from the Chargers is hired as an assistant head coach.

Former Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright is hired as the linebacker coach.

whitev70r 03-05-2024 10:51 AM

^ yah, I was saying how this year in particular, a lot of OC, DC changes (promotion) and they were quite big moves & news.

SkinnyPupp 03-05-2024 02:35 PM

49ers lose their coordinators every year; it's a drawback of being a good team and having a popular coaching system.

Apparently they tried to bring Spagnuolo over from the Chiefs, which is why the Chiefs gave him a huge raise, making him the highest paid coordinator ever at $5m per year

Franchise tag day.. Anyone not tagged by now will be a free agent next week.

Ravens tagged Madabuike but at $22m I doubt he'll actually play for them under the tag. Either sign him to a new deal, or trade him away.

How about your teams?

SkinnyPupp 03-10-2024 03:42 PM

Jaguars trading a 7th round pick for Mac Jones.. That doesn't bode well for Nathan Rourke's career as a backup for them FeelsBadMan

whitev70r 03-10-2024 03:58 PM

Wow ... Baker Mayfield cashing in ... 3 yr for $115M, $50M guaranteed. Bet on himself and won.

Buffalo signs Trubinsky as backup ... WHY? Should have taken Rourke instead 10x more upside potential.

What team is best fit for Russell Wilson? Atlanta, Pittsburgh, NYG seem to be in the running by rumours.

SkinnyPupp 03-10-2024 04:11 PM

I hope he goes to Pittsburgh KEKW

whitev70r 03-10-2024 07:58 PM

Your hope came true :lol. Looks like a 'prove yourself' deal, on Denver's dime contract with an easy out if things don't work out after a year.
