Good bit of info to remember

Also interesting for next year perhaps

whitev70r 04-17-2024 03:07 PM

^ sounds a little bit like 'tampering' on Belichick's part!

pastarocket 04-24-2024 09:54 AM

St. Brown got paid. Did the Lions overpay for their WR's contract extension? That's a lot of money even for a star player wide receiver:

Sources: The #Lions have a deal for one of the top young talents, agreeing on an extension for WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. He gets 4 years and more than $120M with $77M guaranteed.

The deal done by @JobyBranion of @VanguardSG makes St. Brown the highest-paid WR in the NFL.

SkinnyPupp 04-24-2024 02:08 PM

I don't think anyone is really overpaid, except Deshaun Watson

Good luck to the Vikings and Bengals though. This won't be the biggest WR contract for very long

And right after that, they made Sewell the highest paid O-lineman

68style 04-25-2024 07:54 AM

I'm not sure I can get behind a movement that makes Offensive Linemen that kinda dough... like, I been watching NFL for so many years, whenever one of those guys gets hurt, they pull em out and throw in some n00b from Texas Tech or wherever and very rarely can you tell the difference lol.... soemtimes if it's a centre, his huts are a bit off if he's nervous, but that's about it.

I mean if the collective O-Line or the coaching is bad, of course the running back doesn't get holes or the QB gets hurried/sacked... but I honestly think of any position in the NFL that's one that could be coached through with almost any qualified player who came through college.

SkinnyPupp 04-25-2024 01:59 PM

I think you can do that with Guards but not Tackles. Take it from a fan of a team with a good Tackle who had major injury problems. Tackles are going to make more and more

whitev70r 04-25-2024 02:18 PM

2024 NFL Draft is about to begin!

SkinnyPupp 04-25-2024 05:02 PM

No surprises yet.. Tackles taken at #5 and #7.. Telling you, these guys are high value

I can see the Chargers playing theirs as an eligible

SkinnyPupp 04-25-2024 05:09 PM

OK there's a surprise, Falcons take Penix Jr after signing Kirk Cousins to a $100M deal

KC took that super fast Xavier guy, and they got that pacey rugby player from the UK.

Looks like they're keeping Kadarius Toney around for now too, given the changes to the kickoffs, his elusiveness might prove useful.

They're gonna be fun to watch.

Bender Unit 04-26-2024 02:23 PM

Kirk Cousins should demand a Trade after he deposit his 100Milions LUL
It is awkward.

LV Raiders still NEED a QB

Good for him!

Nineteen selections later, the Detroit Lions took tackle Giovanni Manu of the University of British Columbia. Manu was born in Tonga and went to high school in Pitt Meadows, B.C.

FB | History for @ubcfbl as Giovanni Manu becomes the first Thunderbird ever selected in the @NFL Draft!

Manu is the first UBC Thunderbird player who is drafted in the NFL.

Yeah that guy is a MONSTER! Can't wait to see if he ends up playing. I hope so, someone to cheer for in the NFC! They're going to have to develop him because he hasn't played against the same level of competition

whitev70r 05-06-2024 06:58 AM

This was pretty good! Lots of other clips ...

Canadian QB Nathan Rourke looking for new NFL team - NE Patriots waived him. Can always come back to be a star in the CFL and live like a poor person at $500K/yr!

And now he's a New York Football Giant!

Probably a higher chance of playing compared to being on a team with Brissett

68style 05-08-2024 01:48 PM

Man, NFL mgmt really is xenophobic to anyone who didn't go to US college... look how long it took Flutie to be recognized and come back to the NFL for a final stint... and O'Rourke is definitely better than at least 2 of those guys... but they have that US College "pedigree" and that's good enough apparently.

mikemhg 05-09-2024 10:17 AM

^Ya it's pretty shitty, they seem to be more open to bringing in guys for other skill positions like WR that hadn't gone to a US college, but not QBs.

At least now these athletes can get paid in college though.

SkinnyPupp 07-14-2024 03:17 PM

I literally gasped out loud when I read this.. I am shocked
