St. Brown got paid. Did the Lions overpay for their WR's contract extension? That's a lot of money even for a star player wide receiver:

Sources: The #Lions have a deal for one of the top young talents, agreeing on an extension for WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. He gets 4 years and more than $120M with $77M guaranteed.
The deal done by @JobyBranion of @VanguardSG makes St. Brown the highest-paid WR in the NFL.
I'm not sure I can get behind a movement that makes Offensive Linemen that kinda dough... like, I been watching NFL for so many years, whenever one of those guys gets hurt, they pull em out and throw in some n00b from Texas Tech or wherever and very rarely can you tell the difference lol.... soemtimes if it's a centre, his huts are a bit off if he's nervous, but that's about it.
I mean if the collective O-Line or the coaching is bad, of course the running back doesn't get holes or the QB gets hurried/sacked... but I honestly think of any position in the NFL that's one that could be coached through with almost any qualified player who came through college.
I think you can do that with Guards but not Tackles. Take it from a fan of a team with a good Tackle who had major injury problems. Tackles are going to make more and more
Nineteen selections later, the Detroit Lions took tackle Giovanni Manu of the University of British Columbia. Manu was born in Tonga and went to high school in Pitt Meadows, B.C.
FB | History for @ubcfbl as Giovanni Manu becomes the first Thunderbird ever selected in the @NFL Draft!
Manu is the first UBC Thunderbird player who is drafted in the NFL.

Yeah that guy is a MONSTER! Can't wait to see if he ends up playing. I hope so, someone to cheer for in the NFC! They're going to have to develop him because he hasn't played against the same level of competition
Canadian QB Nathan Rourke looking for new NFL team - NE Patriots waived him. Can always come back to be a star in the CFL and live like a poor person at $500K/yr!

Man, NFL mgmt really is xenophobic to anyone who didn't go to US college... look how long it took Flutie to be recognized and come back to the NFL for a final stint... and O'Rourke is definitely better than at least 2 of those guys... but they have that US College "pedigree" and that's good enough apparently.
