^ maybe Winnipeg Blue Bombers? I didn't even hear Giants picked him up. What was his path? Jacksonville, Ne Patriots, then Giants?

How much longer do you try to stick to an NFL team? But I read that he makes more on a practice squad than on an active roster in the CFL. Tough call, $$$ or playing time?

Workouts with 7 teams, then yeah, Jags, Patriots, Giants.

He's on the cusp, I think he'll keep trying to get into the NFL for at least this year

Sounds like the Lions are doing well in that department already.. Might have to check out some games or at least the playoffs

^ Hoping for a Kurt Warner like career path for Nathan Rourke ... well, hopefully, he won't have to sink so low to working at grocery store but would be happy for him if his persistence pays off big time one day. Honestly think the guy has skills ... more so than many 2nd string QB (like Trubinsky) who gets multi million dollar multi year deals.

Natural causes and hypertensive cardiovascular disease

Sounds like just really a bad genetics dice roll in terms of heart health, as athletic as he was.

Really sad.. This guy brought me and many others so much joy. RIP

-talked with a co-worker, a 49ers fan, about the Brandon Aiyuk situation.

The rookie WR wants a contract extension. -wants to be paid more than what the 49ers are offering. San Fran offered $26.5 million per season.

Co-worker said that BA is still under contract for the final year of his rookie deal. San Fran has all the control.

Honestly, the market for wide receivers is over heated now:

Rank Player Compensation
1 Justin Jefferson $35 million
2 A.J. Brown $32 million
3 Amon-Ra St. Brown $30.002 million
4 Tyreek Hill $30 million

Aiyuk thinks that he is a top 5 wide receiver? He's a good player, but not a top 5 WR in my opinion.

San Fran wants two first round picks in any trade for Aiyuk. I am hearing rumours about the Steelers interested in trading for BA.

-unsure if Pittsburgh would be willing to give up two 1st round picks in a trade to acquire Aiyuk.

He wants top $ and other teams know the 49ers are in an impossible situation so they're not going to offer anything close to what they want (rumors are two first round picks? And players?)

They also found the shittiest teams to get offers from.. Patriots, Browns, Steelers. He turned down the Patriots and Browns, so now it's up to the Steelers to get him for as little as possible. They got their QBs for basically free, so they can do whatever.

49ers greater concern is Trent Williams, who is also holding out with contract demands. Aiyuk is a great WR, but Williams is the best tackle in the league BY A LOT, and they can't afford to lose him.

Also I don't think the WR market is inflated. Right now it's as low as it's ever going to be from now on.

They have a long way to go before approaching that level, but they're definitely trying!

Vikings lose McCarthy for the season and Addison carter off the field with a leg injury. As a Vikings fan this is to be expected because this shit always happens to us but it still sucks.

Falcons trade with my Pats to get a pass rusher in Judon. -contract dispute with the Pats.

Judon, who turns 32 on Thursday, played his first five seasons in Baltimore. He had 34 1/2 sacks for the Ravens and made two of his four Pro Bowls. He thrived in Bill Belichick’s defense in New England, making a career-high 15 1/2 sacks in 2022.

A lot of Ravens fans hated him but I always thought Judon was awesome

Bills lose Matt Milano AGAIN, to a torn biceps. They say he could be back in time for the playoffs. That's brutal

That would be me... I'm carefully excited. It's pre-season... and we've been through an astounding number of hired and drafted QB's the last 9 years my god... 13 different starting QB's last I looked.

This dude looks like he's 35 even though he's only fresh out of uni hahaha but if he can throw then whatever! And his wife has a cool name, Izzy Smoke?? Rock star sounding couple lol

Yeah but if you watch all the rookies in pre-season (and some non rookies look shitty) you get an idea of where he stands. Not to say he's the next Mahomes, but he's promising is all. Looking forward to the QB School tape review.

I was a Manning hater when I started watching NFL (mostly because of how commentary treats stars), but both my teams beat him so I never stayed mad lol. Broncos have a great stadium and their fans got much cooler once Peyton left.

Pats fans should be optimistic about Drake Maye too! He probably won't play for a while, but he doesn't look awful either.
