Caleb Williams, #1 pick, had a pretty good outing for the Bears.

SkinnyPupp 08-21-2024 03:23 AM

Aiyuk gets paid with a new contract extension:

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nfl/article...on-with-49ers/

$76 million is guaranteed money.

His hold out from not showing up to practice did nothing to change the terms of the contract. He accepted the same contract that was offered to him in early August haha.

Adam Schefter
@AdamSchefter

In the end, Brandon Aiyuk accepted the same deal that has been on the table since August. 10, per league sources. His hold-in did not alter any part of his new four-year, $120 million extension. He took the same deal that had been there for the past three weeks. Hold-in over.

SkinnyPupp 08-30-2024 02:03 PM

Trent Williams more important, and he's still sitting out. He's accumulated $4 million in fines so far, so they're going to have to cover that too!

pastarocket 09-03-2024 07:59 AM

Yeah, I also think that the 49ers are one of the teams which will face the most pressure to win a Superbowl this season given the big payroll of the team AND the fact that this season is the last year of Purdy's rookie contract.

Purdy is going to ask for a big contract after this season to get paid at market value. He makes a paltry amount of $985,000 US for this season.

It will be difficult to keep the same team roster now under the salary cap once Purdy signs a new deal.

Aiyuk got paid. The 49ers are finalizing a new contract for Trent Williams. Williams is ending his hold out. Purdy will definitely get paid with a big contract after this season.

My list of Superbowl contenders. Teams that have the potential to win a championship this season:

Kansas City Chiefs
San Francisco 49ers
Baltimore Ravens
Detroit Lions
Cincinnati Bengals

mikemhg 09-03-2024 09:22 AM

^Definitely rooting for Detroit or Baltimore

SkinnyPupp 09-03-2024 02:20 PM

Trent gets paid!

This is is for SF. They HAVE to win this year. This team will have to be blown up next year if they want to keep Purdy

Here we go ... official start of the 2024-25 season tonight.

Good matchup on paper but it is Week 1 and certainly not mid season or late season when teams are hitting their stride/peak but nevertheless ...

SkinnyPupp 09-05-2024 07:28 AM

Yeah I really wish this game was mid season some time

Unless the Ravens win of course. In that case, it was perfectly timed

mikemhg 09-05-2024 08:51 AM

Another 6 months of White and Skinny passive aggressively exchanging insults :lol

You 2 are bedfellows made for each other.

whitev70r 09-05-2024 10:14 AM

So impressed that you noticed! I spend a lot of time crafting my comments and opinions about games to a more 'accurate' perspective of the Ravens.

pastarocket 09-05-2024 11:16 AM

Go Pats go! Maybe the Patriots have a chance against the Bengals on Sunday?

Chase might not be 100 percent ready to play on Sunday. Ja'Marr's status is "limited" from yesterday's practice.

One co-worker is a huge fan of the 49ers. He's hoping that San Fran's defence plays big against Rodgers.

He thinks that Rodgers will be injured before halftime on Sunday. LUL

I'm the least "rose coloured glasses" fan you'll ever find, for all sports teams I follow. So you're barking up the wrong tree here lol

My main concerns going into the season are an almost completely new O-line, and most of their defensive coaching staff was raided in the off season.

But then they have Derrick Henry and skinny 2019 Lamar. So we'll see

SkinnyPupp 09-05-2024 04:57 PM

Ravens ball baby! Lamar and Henry!

Refs couldn't stop that drive!

SkinnyPupp 09-05-2024 06:35 PM

Chiefs games continue to be frustrating to watch the way the refs call (doesn't matter what team you root for either)

So close SkinnyPupp! :troll:

Chiefs win by a toe. Out of bounds.

Lamar should have made that pass to Flowers in the end zone.

Insane game.. Chiefs looked more in mid-season form obviously. Especially Lamar with some AWFUL misses.

Lost by inches after the refs giving the Chiefs every chance to stay in it, can't be that mad.

I'm just happy Likely is not injured. That was looking scary

whitev70r 09-05-2024 08:36 PM

Just watched the highlights, wasn't home to watch game but very entertaining for Week 1. Both teams playing well, both QB had some crucial throws, very exciting finish. Was expecting a bit more from the workhorse Derrick Henry. But without even seeing other AFC teams yet ... barring any major injuries ... I think we see these two teams playing for the AFC representative to the SB.

Unfortunately Henry didn't get to be featured as much since they went down 2 scores and were chasing the rest of the way

Justice Hill looked great in that role though!

Xavier Worthy is going to be a problem, that guy is fast as fuck.

How the hell does Mahomes keep getting gifted the fastest dude in the league.

He's got Worthy, Rice who didn't get suspended, and Hollywood is coming back next week or the week after. All in the weakest division in the league

This was one of their four tough opponents, and they won by a toenail. WutFace

SkinnyPupp 09-07-2024 02:04 AM

As good as the first game was, the second was quite a slop fest. Good lord

I hope Love is OK

SkinnyPupp 09-07-2024 02:16 PM

MCL sprain, thank fuck. He won't be out for the season
