Can someone explain what "dabbing" is? I keep hearing references but I have no idea what it means. The only thing I could find was some type of cannabis product or something

Cam Newton does this dab dance in the end zone after the Panthers score touchdowns. He dips his head down on his arm.

The brotha is entertaining, I'll give him that.

He needs to put a towel on his forearm when he does that dab dance to wipe away those tears after losing Superbowl 50. :lawl:

OK so that move he does at first downs is called "dabbing". I keep hearing it and it's nice to know what the fuck it means. So he invented it?

No dude, dabbing has been a hip hop dance move for some time. Cam didn't invent this move. The dance move was originally done by dancers in the southern states of the U.S. Atlanta, Georgia. Maybe Cam does that move to copy hipsters in the south? He is trying to look cool on the field? :troll:

Thanks man. But I don't agree that 2015 is "some time" EleGiggle

I guess I am officially old, since I don't keep up with pop music and trends like that. I do hear references to them though so I'm not totally out of the loop. I just need to get the references.

This is the song that made dabbing popular

Lawsuit alleges Peyton Manning among Tennessee athletes who created "hostile sexual environment"

It's interesting to me that I went from hating Peyton Manning due to the way the media portrays him, to laying off him but still dubious of the obvious bullshit facade, to watching him be probably the worst Super Bowl winning QB in history, to finally this coming out.

So yeah I'm back to hating him. But most likely it's his dad who is the real evil one.

pastarocket 03-06-2016 07:06 PM

No surprise with this announcement. Peyton is set to announce his retirement on March 7th:

I wonder if there will be a campaign to take the Man of the Year award away from him after his college days were exposed?

Good player but as a person that's all I can think about now. What a piece of shit him and his dad are.

Another NFL player retirement announcement.

Megatron is leaving the game of football after 9 seasons.

Mad respect to Calvin Johnson for what he accomplished in his career with the Lions.

Statement from Calvin Johnson

From Calvin Johnson:

“Let me begin by apologizing for making this announcement via a statement and not in person. While I truly respect the significance of this, those who know me best will understand and not be surprised that I choose not to have a press conference for this announcement.

“After much prayer, thought and discussion with loved ones, I have made the difficult decision to retire from the Lions and pro football. I have played my last game of football.

“Let me assure you that this was not an easy or hasty decision. As I stated, I, along with those closest to me, have put a lot of time, deliberation and prayer into this decision and I truly am at peace with it.

“I also want you to know that I have the utmost respect and admiration for the game of football. It has provided so much for me and my family and I will be forever grateful to the game.

“With the reality of my decision, I realize there are a lot of people I would like to thank. I must start with my family – thank you for all your love and support.

“I also want to especially thank Mrs. Ford and the Ford Family for all their support over the years. They are tremendous owners and I loved playing for them. I would also like to recognize Mr. Ford, who I was honored to know and play for before he passed away.

“While it would be hard to name them all, I would also like to thank all of my teammates past and present.

“I also want to thank all of my coaches who I played for, in particular Coach Caldwell for his support, wisdom and guidance over the past two seasons. I loved playing for Coach Caldwell.

“There are so many other people I would like to recognize and thank for what they have done for me throughout my career, but rather than risk forgetting someone, I will simply say “thanks” to everyone.

“And finally, to the fans of Detroit and Michigan. I so appreciated your passionate support over the years and truly enjoyed playing for you. I loved playing in Detroit and will forever be a Lion. My biggest regret is that I wasn’t able to help give our fans a championship. But I do believe the future of the Lions is bright and with the leadership from people like Rod Wood and Bob Quinn, who I have gotten to know over the past few months, I am confident that our fans will soon be rewarded with the championship you deserve.

“From the bottom of my heart I thank you all for everything.”

What an entertaining game tonight between the Patriots and Seahawks! Props to the Seattle defence for that goal line stand near the end of the game. -tough loss for my Patriots but full credit to Seattle for winning with their defence and Russell Wilson's play.

That touchdown just before half time for Seattle really hurt New England.

SkinnyPupp 11-15-2016 06:10 PM

It's funny that the Pats made arguably the same mistake the Hawks did in their SB game by not just running it in with Blount. I don't know why they didn't just try that 4 times.

Russell Wilson finally looks like 90% of his former self, the best he has looked since game 1. Still not there yet with the speed, but he looks WAY better now.

But yeah, awesome game, as was the Steelers Cowboys game before that.

SkinnyPupp 11-21-2016 02:21 AM

Baldwin to Wilson for the TD PogChamp

Yup he's back 100%

pastarocket 01-14-2017 07:39 PM

Where was the Seahawks offensive line vs. ATL tonight? Wilson get sacked and pressured in the game all day. Matt Ryan played a good game.

C'mon Patriots!!! -not a good game by Brady with the interceptions but he did make some good deep throws today.

Hosweiler being Hosweiler again with those interceptions. :fuckthatshit:

Lewis gets the "cycle" in the NFL. -touchdowns for Lewis on punt return, reception, and rushing. :fuckyea:

The sixth straight AFC championship game for Brady and Belichick! A league record.

Sir_Loin 01-14-2017 07:44 PM

Hawks secondary decimated by injuries legion of doomed. Sherman got cooked on by Jones, their secondary looks ordinary without Earl Thomas out there erasing mistakes.

My friends and I were having a discussion a couple weeks ago about the worst backup in the NFL, Osweiler topped our list. :) Did the Texans ever fuck up when they signed him to that deal, the biggest winner besides Brock was the Denver Broncos.

I understand they had some key injuries but the Seahawks aren't going to win anything without a premier running back and those don't grow on trees. Rawls isn't the guy, they can win some games but they aren't winning any more superbowls with him carrying the rock.

my god was this game entertaining. And i dont even watch football

An epic playoff game between the Packers and Cowboys.

Aaron Rodgers is one heck of a QB! -has a cannon of an arm and pinpoint accuracy on his throws.

That last throw to Jared Cook was perfect. It's a game of inches when you see Cook keep his feet inbounds for that catch to set up the winning field goal.

No team in the playoffs wants to play against Rodgers and the Packers. :heckno:

356 yards, 2 TDs, 1 game-winning drive. Surgical. Mad respect to this QB.
