Huge news today

Fifteen women who worked for Washington's NFL Team allege sexual harassment by former scouts and members of owner Daniel Snyder’s inner circle

Minority owners are getting out

Snyder using the name change to try to obscure the story

He hasn't been directly implicated, but there's no way he isn't involved, considering how long it went on and who has been named.

Washington fans have been wishing for him to sell the team for years now, for many other reasons. Hopefully this leads to that and they can get a proper owner in place who will not enable this disgusting culture to continue.

Also if any other teams are doing this sort of thing, now is the time to clear house

This guy is just hard to work with and he's also Derek Henry's bitch. I wouldn't want him on my team.

Nope, fuck him. I was a fan during LOB and he was "good" last year but if the players don't want him on the team, he has to go.

How long before the Bucs regret not staying with Jameis

Great day 1 in the NFL today

That's a new thing for Brady... Belichick would always keep things private, but Arians will let everyone know what he thinks.

I also liked this

As for my teams... Lamar actually looked even better than he did last year, at least his arm. Just throwing LASERS out there, side arm passes, etc. And best of all, his receivers are CATCHING THEM. That's pretty new Hollywood gained like 20 lbs on t he off season, got the screw removed from his foot, and hopefully will have an insane year. Rookie RB Dobbins was really good as well, and their acquisitions on D made huge plays on the very first drive, stuffing a run, blocking a pass, then forcing a pick.

And for the Seahawks it looks like they are moving away from the run heavy for 95% of the game, then let Russ do his magic for the last 5 minutes... Instead, they are going pass heavy with Russ, and going for it on 4th. I hope they can keep this up

Strange watching NFL. Some stadiums had fans, some didn't. It looks like NFL is approaching it like MLB, where teams travel to stadiums to play but no real 'bubble'.

It was an interesting week 1 in the NFL.

Russell Wilson played great. -threw for 322 yards. 31/35. TDs.

Brady played like shit. Two INTs, pick sixes.

Browns lose...again.

Cam Newton played a good game with 2 rushing TDs.

Cam dresses like Jim Carrey in the movie "The Mask".

He might as well go all out on Halloween and dress like the "Cat in the Hat" in the Dr. Seuss books.

Crazy day! I started with the Cowboys/Falcons game and that was insane, and then watched the Ravens beat the Texans easily so switched to Chiefs/Chargers OT, and then the Seahawks/Patriots which came down to the last play. Such a great day of football!

Ravens vs Chiefs next week on MNF! I can watch live I think Lamar is 0-2 vs Mahomes but the last one was close. His passing is so fucking good now, I am not used to Ravens WRs catching all these passes. That game will be insane

It was also a crazy day of injuries to many players last Sunday. Saquon Barkley has a torn ACL on his right knee. Barkley is out for the season. 49ers lost four players including Bosa. Jimmy G has a high ankle sprain.

-colleague of mine is so sad right now because his team the 49ers lost four players to injury.

Good game by Steelers WR Chase Claypool. The guy made history in the NFL as a Canadian. -talented local guy from Abbotsford:

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nfl/article...own-reception/

In just his second career game with Pittsburgh, the Steelers receiver had an 84-yard touchdown reception

I wonder if the new field turf at Met Life Stadium has anything to do with causing Saquon's season ending injury?

No fine for BB, despite him being even more exposed than Carroll.

So are the Raiders legit? Or are the Saints just overhyped and Brees too old to win? 0 passes over 20 yards

Also Jackrabbit Jenkins with an all time bad game

Canadian kid from Abbotsford lit it up with 4 TD's with Steelers!

Horrific, potential career ending injury to Dak Prescott ! Sad to see, he's a character guy. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...ury/114263804/

I knew something big must have happened if this thread got updated by someone other than me on Sunday.. And yeah seeing Dak hurt like that, so sad to see. Season ending injury on a franchise tag year is brutal.

Considering we saw Alex Smith play today, and Teddy Bridgewater last year, that gives hope that he can recover from this and make a comeback. If you google the pictures of Smith's leg, you wouldn't believe that he'd ever walk again, let alone play football

Some good games today though. I started with Ravens vs Bengals, and Ravens kept them shut out until a garbage FG with 30 seconds left. Lamar didn't run the ball AT ALL this game, which makes me wonder if he's hurt, or they are using the Bungles as a farm team to work on his passing game which needs more development. Weird game. Bungles offensive line is SO BAD. The only worse team I can think of was the Redskins a few seasons ago.

Then I got to enjoy the end of Raiders vs Chiefs. I've been following the Raiders this year and they have been so fun to watch develop as a team. Not the most exciting offense, but I just really like the culture of the team. This win meant so much to them, and it wasn't even a close win. Mahomes' biggest loss ever, first time losing by >7. I don't hate on the Chiefs, but I need them to lose a few games for the Ravens to have a chance at the bye.

Then it was the Browns vs Colts, another fun game. Brownies are a fun team to follow, I just feel so bad for their fans and I love it when they're competitive. Stefanski is now 4-1 as their head coach, so he has more wins in 5 games than Hue Jackson had in 40. Division rivalries are such a fun part of NFL, but if 2 of the teams are garbage it kind of sucks. So now we have 1 trash team, but 1 good team and 2 great teams. I wonder if the Colts are regretting signing Rivers now? So many bad picks and just a shitty intentional grounding for the safety

Then we have Seattle having to go 94 yards in the rain in 2 minutes to win, and for some reason I just didn't have any doubts they'd do it. I raved about Metcalf last year, I think I said he was a future star.. Well now we're seeing it. Future MEGASTAR, like MEGATRON level or pre-insane AB. Sucks that Seattle looked so bad for like 90% of the game, but as often happens, they do just enough to pull it out at the very end. Go figure. 5-0 for their first time in history!

Carcinogen AB going to visit with Tampa Bay this weekend. TB, if you can't get him in New England, maybe you can in Tampa. Edit ... it's confirmed.

https://www.tsn.ca/report-antonio-br...turday-19.1662

Heard that Seahawks were interested in him as well ... WTF ??!!

There are few teams with a strong enough culture to handle AB.. I'd put the Seahawks in that category, along with Ravens, Steelers. Bucs though? I dunno about that. Neither did Arians when he was the one calling the shots:

I don't see it working out great, even if he doesn't have another meltdown. TB is not much more than a (really good) game manager anymore, although they destroyed the Packers on Sunday so who knows. Mike Evans isn't exactly working great with him, except short throws right at the goal line. Gronk finally had a good game but he still looks like a giant reanimated corpse out there.

It'll be entertaining that's for sure. The Bucs are a very entertaining team with an amazing defense.

AB joining the Bucs must’ve been because of Brady. I’m sure Bellichek couldn’t handle his shit but Brady is like, fuck it, let’s win as many games possible and cash in on those tax free dollars.

I don't think Brady cares about money at all, he just wants to keep winning championships until he physically can't any more.

Pretty annoying day of football for me, all the teams I was rooting for lost. Steelers undefeated Buccs killing teams dead AZ icing their own kicker and still winning in OT I wish I would have watched the Bengals/Browns game, Baker went insane after starting 0-5 with a pick.

DK had an all time great play though

The Official *NFL* thread

Best every hustle play that I have seen from any professional football player.

DK Metcalf is a beast! Coaches should show this video to young players learning to play football. A good lesson about never giving up on a play.
