Denver going to use zamboni driver for QB today.

Update - Denver's QB stats for the day 1 for 9, 13 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT ... not bad!

whitev70r 11-29-2020 03:44 PM

Why did the NFL make Denver play the game and Baltimore gets 2 delays ... ??!!

Baltimore was a breakout, continuously getting new positive cases. Kind of like the Titans earlier this season.

Broncos just had one positive case, but 3 close contact cases due to ignoring NFL's protocols. Broncos fans have nobody to blame but their QBs. Their head coach shit on them after the game LUL

49ers had like 13 guys on IR and still beat the Rams LUL

Bad news for the 49ers. They are going to have to play their final three home games in the Cardinals stadium because of Covid restrictions in Santa Clara County. The team cannot play any games or go to practice facilities in Santa Clara.

https://www.nfl.com/news/49ers-hc-ky...9-restrictions

Santa Clara County, home of the 49ers' Levi's Stadium, released new COVID-19 restrictions on Saturday that ban all contact sports and mandate a 14-day quarantine for anyone traveling into the area from 150 miles away, meaning the 49ers will need a new home to finish the 2020 season.

The news came as a shock to 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan, who spoke on the matter for the first time following his team's last-second 23-20 win over the Rams on Sunday in Los Angeles.

"It was a very disappointing thing what we got yesterday," Shanahan said, via ESPN's Nick Wagoner. "For us to be find that out while we're getting on a plane ... it was extremely disappointing."

Shanahan added the team was not warned ahead of time of the impending ban, finding out via social media and receiving little additional information from county officials on the reasoning behind the decision or how the 49ers' situation might negatively affect the county's COVID-19 issues, per Wagoner and The Athletic's David Lomardi.

Is Oakland in Santa Clara county? Why go all the way to Arizona? Can't they use one of those big college football stadiums just outside of the County?

The NFL would like the 49ers to find a home in an existing NFL stadium before exploring other options, such as major Division I collegiate stadiums, as per the articles I read on nfl.com.

Perhaps the league's rationale for preferring NFL stadiums is because stadium support staff ensure that these stadiums already meet the league standards for Covid protocol compared to a college stadium facility? :considered:

Ravens Steelers game delayed again, to Wednesday

Make them play so the Steelers end up with all their starters sick too? And then make them play so the next team all gets sick too? :rukidding:

Come on you're pretty level in the coronavirus thread IIRC

whitev70r 11-30-2020 04:12 PM

Wut ... they have rapid testing in the US. Test for 3 days in a row, if you're clear, neg Covid, you can take the field. Positive Covid, you go home. What's so complicated?
They should have done that starting last Thurs, when they cancelled first game. Every player, coach, and staff gets tested Thur, Fri, Sat ... game on Sun or Mon.

They have been testing daily since Thursday, and have people testing positive as of today, and players as of yesterday. If they'd played Sunday, they 100% would have had players and coaches out there with covid.

BTW holy shit @ this Eagles/Seahawks game DansGame

Edit: and as soon as I post that, Metcalf goes and makes a 52 yard completion KEKW

Not sure if anyone watched the Wednesday game, but I got up at 4am to watch it, knowing what the most likely outcome would be. I just wanted to support the team in their fight, and boy did they fight! 8 players making their NFL debuts, an entire O line of replacements, a QB who can't do anything but run, missing 2 RB starters day of game, and everything else

And it all came down to a blown call by the refs

Not even going to be mad at the Steelers for doing this, every team does it (though I've never seen it more blatant). It's a low risk high reward cheat for them, and they got away with it because the refs are absolutely incompetent.

A win would have been nothing short of amazing, but the effort put out there was impressive enough.

They might have to win out to make it to the playoffs, but it's possible. The only winning team they have left are the Browns and if you've been watching the Browns, their record is a lot better than their play (mostly due to weather though so it's hard to tell for sure)

I hope everyone recovers from Covid without issue. Even that's not a guarantee...

Crazy game, really bad on the refs though, way to take away what could have been one of the most amazing wins in NFL history FeelsBadMan

whitev70r 12-03-2020 07:13 AM

^ Well written ... like a sore ass loser .. IIRC.

Of all the plays that you want to nitpick on ... why that one? Why would you even think that it came down to THIS blown call ??!! Even just that clip alone, if I didn't know anything else about the whole game, Ravens got the next play off, had #82 hung on the ball ... they'd get 7 pts. Why wouldn't you put the blame on Ravens receiver #82?

And oh ... btw, here's an insight on football, you obviously a newb at this ... no game is ever blown on a last second play at the end of the 1st half. There is still half a game to be played ... unless of course, you're a whiner.

Yeah I make a post about how proud I am of my team, and you go and post this trash FailFish

You defending the refs on that play makes you literally the only person on earth to do so.

Shaking my fucking head man ... fucks sake FailFish

whitev70r 12-03-2020 02:45 PM

yah ... I'm checking outta this thread. It looks like it's just you and me and we know how that's going to go.

You obviously have an English comprehension problem as well. Where in my post did I defend the refs. Calls go one way or the other throughout the game .. no player or coach with integrity would ever put a whole game on one bad call.

You happy ... I gave you a plus ... you are so juvenile!

I think you just try to take every opportunity you can to try to bully me, but I have no idea why. I'm glad you're taking a break from that.

I hope you do so in other threads as well. Every time you respond to me, it's shit like this. Honestly it's getting to be pretty frustrating. You obviously have some deep seeded issue with me, maybe after an argument or you took my hyperbole seriously, or what. Don't know, don't really care, but yeah take a break from my posts, it'll be good for both of us. I do hope we can get along eventually though.

The Official *NFL* thread

What a Monday Night Football game! What drama!

Hey Skinnypup, your Ravens win thanks to
LaMar’s great game.
Things looked bad when he was out
Of the game with cramps. Then backup McSorley hurt his knee.

Superman came back in the game just in time!
:lawl:

Mayfield also played well, save for that interception.

Browns ran well with the ball but not as well as
LaMar.

The big play in the first half
Was LaMar’s throw to Andrews on third down for a huge first down play.

Then Ravens score a safety on the last play
Of the game.

47-42 win hahahah

That was one of the most insane games I've ever watched

You couldn't write a better script than Lamar's comeback

For those who didn't watch (I'm sure someone will make a video tonight)

Lamar has to leave for "cramps" in the 4th quarter... If presumptions are true, it's a REALLY bad case of the runs (bad enough to keep an MVP starter out of the most important game of the year) (I also don't like to joke about it, if it's related to covid.. I'll wait and see what they say)

Trace McSorley comes in, plays decent enough on his second drive. Nice pass to Snead who makes an insane catch to keep them alive. Hurts himself on a 3rd down run, looks really bad. People looking around like "who's QB3?"

Oh and it's 4th and 4

OUT COMES SUPERMAN I MEAN LAMAR FUCKING JACKSON! 2 minute warning

OK he's been running great but passing hasn't been on point tonight... let's see what he can do

Looks like he has some room to get the first down with another great run

NEVER FUCKING MIND! Dime to... of all people, HOLLYWOOD BROWN who has been dropping it all night (and has been bad all season)

And then they had to do another come back to win with a 55 yarder, after some soft defensive play with key injuries in their secondary all game

Seriously, you can't write this stuff... Better than fiction

I know I said I'd stay away from this thread but just this one last time, couldn't resist.

quasi 12-15-2020 12:15 PM

I don't care what Lamar says and I've done that run before, he's not convincing me that wasn't the I'm about to shit myself trot. We all shit man, no big deal.

SkinnyPupp 12-15-2020 03:42 PM

Same thing happened to a Celtics player, and he denied it for years... They even had him in a wheelchair to hide the shit stain! LUL

Lamar even denies it on Marlon Humphrey's IG live video LUL

"I keep hearing I was taking a shit but I wasn't" Marlon: "(he was)"
