Yeah there have been rumors for a month or so, but that Athletic report gave it all credibility.

Is this Carroll's team or Russ'? That will be answered if a trade is made next year.

Just get him a damn O-line... He had one for 2 years, and he got to the SB twice in a row, winning one and then coming within a yard of winning the other!

whitev70r 02-28-2021 12:01 PM

Can someone explain to me why if management expresses an interest in a player, that's called meddling and is punishable with fines and draft picks and yet players (like Wilson) can go out (via their agent) and say, I like to stay but if I do get traded I like to go to Dallas, Chicago, New Orleans, or Las Vegas? How does that not mess with other teams? How does that make existing QB's on those teams feel?

Huge double standard here. If you want to get traded as a player, keep it behind closed doors!

quasi 03-01-2021 02:41 PM

I agree, if they want to keep Wilson they need to address their O-Line. Same could be said about the Chargers if they want to keep Herbert healthy (he was one of the most pressured QB's last year) and even Kirk Cousins....blah hate sticking up for him even if he's our QB but he also had no protection to speak of and was running for his life almost every play.

Offensive lines are not spoken about enough, a good oline can make up for a lot of deficits in talent and it can certainly really retard a team with some good talent.

SkinnyPupp 03-01-2021 05:01 PM

Look at what happened to the Chiefs when their line fell apart. And the Bengals couldn't protect Joe Burrow long enough to play his full rookie season.

whitev70r 03-09-2021 12:20 PM

Sorry Russell ... you can scratch Dallas off your wish list.

Report: Cowboys, QB Prescott agree to four-year, $160 million deal
https://www.tsn.ca/report-dallas-cow...deal-1.1604517

Not sure how smart that was for Dallas to do that after Prescott's serious injury but ...

Eff-1 03-09-2021 02:35 PM

Romo's now making over $1M from CBS for each game he broadcasts, so he's doing pretty good!

SkinnyPupp 03-09-2021 03:50 PM

I know it's more like look at how inflated QB contracts have gotten! WutFace

And Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen are going to drive it up even higher

whitev70r 03-09-2021 05:39 PM

Totally stupid to offer anyone that kind of guaranteed money $126M ... especially Prescott, that's like buying a rebuilt car for top pristine clean status price!

Does the owner have any kind of insurance policy on that in the event guy has a career ending injury?

SkinnyPupp 03-09-2021 05:44 PM

The owner made billions of extra income during the Texas snowstorm while the Poors died. He'll be fine

The Official *NFL* thread

Wow! The Pats were busy rebuilding the team with signing tight ends and wide receivers.

Big rumour from Jeff Howe of The Athletic is that the Pats are planning a big trade to get Deshaun Watson out of Houston.

It comes down to what Deshaun wants though. He had a no trade clause.

The 49ers and Broncos are also rumoured to be interested in Watson.

Please Belichick, get Watson! It would be like Christmas! :lawl:

-looks like the Seahawks are trying to convince Russell Wilson to stay with the team.

The Bears offered a huge trade package to Seattle. Coach Carroll declined the offer. Bears sign Andy Dalton.

They should have taken the Bears' offer. Wilson won't be happy playing behind such a crappy offensive line.

"The Dan Patrick Show", Chicago offered Seattle a trade package that included three first-round picks, one third-round pick and two starters. Patrick added that the offer interested Seattle but it was ultimately head coach Pete Carroll's decision and Carroll declined

whitev70r 03-17-2021 11:51 AM

Less and less options for Wilson. Dallas QB settled. Saints settled. Now Chicago settled. Only Raiders of his preferred 4 left ... and they have Carr. Looks like he's staying put.

Mike Oxbig 03-17-2021 02:56 PM

No 3 way trade?

Wilson
3 1st round pick
Watson

SkinnyPupp 03-17-2021 03:03 PM

Pats rebuild from free agency is interesting to see. This rarely works but if anyone can do it, it's BB

I don't think Seattle would give up Russ this season, even for a bunch of draft picks. Maybe next season if anything. I hope they get him a line to protect him and he stays.

Wherever Watson goes, please let it be somewhere in the NFC LUL

quasi 03-18-2021 02:35 PM

Watson accusers, either they are all conspiring against him or his creep game is pretty strong.

SkinnyPupp 03-18-2021 03:34 PM

At first I thought he was being set up by his scummy team (the lawyer was Bob McNair's neighbor apparently). The first one was a masseuse that alleged he asked for a handy. He denied it vehemently

But now there's what, 9 accusers?

If true, this is one of the bigger stories in NFL history

If it's not true, I sure hope he can defend himself properly.

He seemed like a good one, but who really knows?

mikemhg 03-18-2021 04:30 PM

Honestly, I'm really starting to think this type of "accusation" garbage is becoming a way to weaponize character assassinations.

It seems more and more common now during this #Metoo movement.

There will always be some scummy person willing to take a few dollars to accuse someone and ruin their character, especially when millions are on the line here. It's all too easy.

So you're telling me this guy, who is looking to be traded from a scummy Houston team, a player who can garner literal hundreds of millions of dollars, is now during trade talks being accused of asking for some dick time by his masseuse? This guy could bang 10's for free, it makes little sense.

Something smells stinky about this. We'll see how the evidence plays out, but this is really becoming a concerning narrative nowadays.

I truly do not believe it's coincidental that we're hearing people get these types of accusations in the public eye, more and more.

mikemhg 03-18-2021 04:33 PM

This is classic.

"He flew the second one, unlicensed, from Atlanta to a hotel suite in Houston."

So he flew an unlicensed woman to give him a massage in a Houston hotel room. This guy could hire the very best RMT in the country, but he flew a non-registered person to his room.

Smells like a rope-a-dope to me. He called an escort over, she gave him what he wanted, and now she's trying to get a meal ticket. It's the classic move.

mikemhg 03-18-2021 04:38 PM

One more stinky on this one.

https://nypost.com/2021/03/18/who-is...eshaun-watson/

Buzbee has previously gone billboard-big, too. According to his Instagram, in 2014 Buzbee put 10 billboards up around Houston with the message, “Keep Johnny football in Texas!” trying to get the Texans to draft Manziel, the former Texas A&M star and Heisman Trophy winner.

“… I put up 10 billboards up around Houston asking my neighbor Mr. McNair [former Texans owner Bob McNair] to draft the greatest college football player ever,” Buzbee wrote in the caption. “Obviously, it didn’t happen.”

No criminal changes filed, just a lawsuit. The lawyer happens to be neighbors with the owner of the Houston Texas :lol

My god, this world is dirty :lol

SkinnyPupp 03-18-2021 04:40 PM

Yeah like I said, that was my first assumption. I posted earlier about Easterby and the Texans organization... They are beyond fucked up.

All the accusations are quite similar... Hiring independent masseuse, and expecting more than a massage. And now they claim they were forced to do more than a massage....

Here's one of the accusations.. It could be bad, it could not.. If true, it's really bad.

SkinnyPupp 03-19-2021 06:54 PM

As more claims come out, it's not looking good for our boy

Quote:

4th lawsuit, September and October 2020: Woman works for a spa in Houston, licensed esthetician for 9 years. Happened at the spa. “During the sessions, Watson assaulted and harassed Plaintiff by touching her with his penis, trying to kiss her and exposing himself”. Deshaun said he wanted to give her a massage, she refused, so he got naked and was getting massaged, flipped over with an erection and said what are you going to do about this? Session ended without further incident. One month later, Deshaun books another appointment, “During the session, Watson tried to put his penis in Plaintiff’s hand and asked Plaintiff if she would touch his penis…Watson moved his body in a way that caused Watson’s penis to touch Plaintiff’s hand…Watson told Plaintiff she was wearing too many clothes. Watson also tried to kiss Plaintiff on the mouth”

5th lawsuit, October and November 2020: Woman owns a bodywork and stretch therapy business in Houston, contact was through Instagram DMs where Deshaun asked for sports therapy. Deshaun and woman get into back and forth of him pulling towel down and her pulling it back up. Session ends. Second session, in November. “Upon arrival, Watson, without any notice, kissed Plaintiff…Once she regained her composure, she returned to her office where Watson had already gotten undressed and exposed himself…Watson stated that he was more comfortable when he was ‘free’…Watson then got more specific and asked Plaintiff to work on his buttocks and penis area…Watson would also move his body in a way that would cause his penis to touch Plaintiff’s hand. Watson got irritated and told her that he would pay extra to have Plaintiff work on those areas”

6th lawsuit, June 2020: Woman is a licensed massage therapist, owns her own business, markets through Instagram, in business for 11 years. Deshaun DMs woman and they speak on phone, “Watson told Plaintiff: ‘I make a lot of massage therapists uncomfortable and it’s really hard for me to find someone who will meet my needs…’”. Unlike the other women so far, this woman in #6 routinely provides massage therapy to athletes from professional football teams and other high-profile athletes. At a spa in Houston: “[Watson] refused Plaintiff’s attempts to cover him. Even when she covered his buttocks, he would purposely move to knock the towel off…As the session continued, Watson exposed his penis to Plaintiff several times. Watson laughingly told Plaintiff that she could move his penis out of the way….Plaintiff felt trapped, angry and dirty…Watson eventually had an erection. Multiple times he moved his body in such a way to make his penis touch Plaintiff…Watson continued to contact Plaintiff afterwards around seven more times to schedule another massage. Plaintiff either declined or ignored his requests and never worked with him again”

7th lawsuit, September 2020: Woman owns a fitness company offering body conditioning, markets through Instagram, in business three years. “Watson asked Plaintiff if he could be naked, and even asked Plaintiff if it was okay if he got aroused. Plaintiff told Watson to cover himself while she attempted to stay professional and finish the session. At some point during the session, Watson became aroused and got an erection. Watson continued to move his body in a way that would repeatedly cause his penis to touch Plaintiff’s hand. Plaintiff was shocked and moved away from him. Lying on the table on his back, Watson then ejaculated. Plaintiff immediately stopped the session and left the room”

There's def still smoke. But let's keep this in mind, these are civil, nor criminal suits, all by the same attorney.

I'm sure there will be some extreme vetting on this stuff, which clearly hasn't been conducted yet.

SkinnyPupp 03-20-2021 04:31 PM

Yeah the thing that stands out is he is finding all these professional masseuses, but contacting them on IG and making personal appointments that way.

The suits all say the women are using his invitation as an opportunity to further their careers somehow, but I wonder if there was some other "understanding" in the agreements being made... or hinted at. Guess we'll find out as more details have to come out.

GGnoRE 03-23-2021 08:34 AM

13 civil suits filed so far, 9 more in the pipeline.... that's a total of 22 women coming out against Watson. At this rate he's going to have more women accusing him of sexual assault than Trump (26 women).
