It's been said (by press that I trust not to just make shitty hot takes) that Newton doesn't have the right "personality" to be a backup... Whatever that means.
Cincy is legit this year.. Burrow recovered great from the injury, and is playing to expectations. They're getting the protection they need, even without drafting Sewell as everyone thought they would. Instead they drafted Ja'Marr Chase, who is tearing up the league and could be the next superstar WR. He had 201 yards today! Including an 82 yarder where he broke out of a 3 way tackle. That was insane.
The best hope in AFCN every year is to go 1-1 with the other teams - they're ALL good this year, and even the Steelers are coming together. And even when teams are bad, these games are always weird and can go either way. Bengals got this one, hopefully things go better next time.
Ravens D still gets torn apart without Peters out there, although they played great in the first half. Last week Humpherey completely shut down Herbert, this week he got torched by Burrow and Chase for 200 yards Once they got busted and the game was out of hand, it turned into garbage time quick.
Mahomes is actually playing about the same as he always has with those crazy hero throws... Except the luck was always on his side until now. In fact I think his "interception worthy" throws are down this year by ratio!
Still blown away by Titans though, beating the Bills and Chiefs back to back is pretty amazing.
Watched the Lions almost beat the Rams at home using fake punts and fake kickoffs, but Ramsey got a pick in the end zone which probably would have been the TD to seal it. Too bad
I haven't been betting this year but did a 5 game parlay, hit the first 4 of them yesterday, I need the Saints to win tonight to turn $10 into $460. Just in case I tossed $60 on Seahawks this morning hedging my bet which would return a profit of $100 should they win so I don't end up with nothing.

The 49ers are in a heap of trouble. Their defence doesn't have much of a pass rushing ability.
Sunday Night Football's Chris Collinsworth kept making comments about the 49ers management making the wrong decision to trade DeForest Buckner instead of Armstead to the Colts. Massive screw up.
Buckner wanted to stay with the 49ers. Armstead simply is not a pass rusher.
49ers defensive secondary is weak too.
If the coaching staff and/or management do not make changes soon, Kyle Shanahan is going to be out of a job.
-good to see my Pats win big against the crappy Jets.

This is one of, if not THE biggest game of Murray's career and he's not doing so well in the spotlight
I only really see him on big primetime games like this, and I seem to recall this being pretty common.. So I am usually surprised to hear how good he is
Ravens on bye this week so I get to watch Steelers vs Browns which should be a fun game. Sounds like Baker will play, broken should and torn labrum and all.
Afternoon game will probably be Bucs @ Saints... Games in NO always have a special feel to them, and while Jameis isn't lighting the world on fire, the Saints play Brady well and may keep him under 30... If the D gets some turnovers it could be an upset.
Cowboys @ Vikings on SNF should be a really good game, especially if Dak can play. He's making the trip but they haven't announced yet.
Giants @ Chiefs any other week would be skippable, but the Chiefs falling apart is pretty intriguing, and the Giants have been decent to good at times, although Saquon and Golladay are out. I wish this one was at MetLife instead. Kind of hate watching all these Chiefs home games. Their own players trash their shitty racist fans
I am tempted to watch Eagles @ Lions to see if the Lions can get their first win of the year against a pretty bad team
How about them Saints! What a great game by the defense. Too bad Jameis didn't get to finish the game.
Saints gave them a huge opportunity for Brady to be Brady with a 2 minute field goal drive to win, but Brady threw two of the worst passes you'll ever see.. The first should have been picked, the second was.
And go Jets! Refs absolutely gifted them a bad penalty, but they still put up the points. Love this Mike White guy, dude has an attitude and you can tell his teammates love him. Sometimes a QB just has this charisma that a team can get behind - Lamar obviously, Baker, Tannehill, etc. Other teams have QBs that they kind of just seem to tolerate.. Cousins, Ben, Wentz, Goff, maybe Carr a bit. Maybe Russ. White earned another start at least, and maybe they can work on developing the rookie Taylor off field for the rest of the year.
And thanks Steelers! They sent out their kicker for a fake field goal and he got FUCKING DESTROYED, so they didn't have a kicker fort he rest of the game. Gutsy game by the Steelers, and keeps the Browns off the Ravens' heels.
Wow, what a good trade for the Rams. Von Miller is traded from to the Broncos to the Rams in exchange for two first draft picks. Second round and third round picks in the next draft.
Are the Rams legit Superbowl contenders now? :wondering:
