Repaving Driveway?

Hi folks, I tried searching but had no luck.

My driveway has become a cracked and pitted mess, you can kind of see all the cracks in this photo:

What are some options for getting it re-done? And what kind of approximate cost would I be looking at?

The driveway is about 40-50' in length. And if possible, I'd like to get the area on the right of the photo (gravel) paved over as well.

I'd appreciate any insight from others who have had their driveways re-done.

Thanks,

Kev

when you say options, i guess you're asking what material options people use on their driveway?

i have friends that used concrete, asphalt, and paving bricks and packed gravel. wouldn't recommend packed gravel though

We just had the parking lots done on our apartment building with Superior Paving and they did an excellent job.

There is also an eco-paving solution that I was looking at but wouldn't do a "commercial application" even though its still residential, but it uses recycled tires. Looked really nice, and the warranty far exceeds the 1 year that is standard on asphalt.

Make sure they are using a quality base material. Apparently some companies cut corners on the base and use ground up concrete that doesn't last. The bitumen topper is all the same, but the base makes the difference. Ours was sand..no wonder it came apart. Everyone recommended a 2 inch layer of bitumen for us, not sure what the standard is for a residential application.
