STOLEN: Various parts off my friends 240sx

hey guys. need your help here in keeping an eye out for these parts. my friend currently has a project 240sx that has been in the works for about a year now. in the last few weeks though, somebody stole the following things off the car. all the parts are for an sr20 engine

- brand new koyorad radiator
- purple ebay blow off valve
- (?) apexi powerfc ecu

the car was sitting outside of a local shop in richmond. the shop is in the process of ensuring they do not have the ecu. i'll be updating the thread with more info because more (hopefully not) could have been taken

it's a bit of a long shot by now since we don't know the exact period of time from which the parts were stolen off the car but if anybody sees or hears of anything i'd appreciate a heads up

thanks guys

shouldnt the shop be liable for not keeping your car secure while in their care?

Unfortunately the vehicle was sitting outside the shop. Liability is in the gray area due to the vehicle not being insured n other list of variables

I think you agree to a waiver that the shop is not responsible for lost or stolen items, something in that sense when you drop off the car to them.

unfortunately no. liability falls to the customer 95% of the time to have the car insured with storage insurance. just got my fingers crossed that one of the many 240 guys around rs have an idea of something

if he meant the world in general than i'm going to have to agree with him. my friend was nearing completion of his project after almost 2 years of setbacks and problems. hopefully we can find this fucker

seems to me like the thief knew what he was doing, radiator was cut at the hoses and removed, bov removed, and the midpipe may have been stolen too

Sounds like a junkie stealing it for scrap metal. Got my cat / downpipe / a garbage trans stolen from my fd when it was stored outside a shop in burnaby a few years back.

not to thread jack or anything... but hey...
my bumper finally showed up on Craiglist after 3 years it went missing...

my car pix

the ad:
1989 Nissan 240sx

I am pretty sure he just bought the bumper not knowing it was stolen? dunno.. its been 3 years...

just sayin...

anyways I will keep an eye out for sure...
I know how it feels when shit gets stolen, and makes it even more personal since it was a 240sx

i think thats all they could've taken. rad hoses were cut and the rad ripped out, and the bov was just unclamped and removed i assume. easy
pretty sure these guys are small time thieves, or just testing the waters

ecu is still missing too
