Cruises

Anyone actually enjoy cruises? If so, where did you go and how was your trip?

I just came back from a 7 day Alaska cruise with Celebrity X Century with family + girlfriend. The service and food were 9/10 but being sea sick for most of the trip really sucks. My "vacation" was more tiring than an actual work week.

Now, I have to deal with "Mal de debarquement syndrome" or post cruise land motion sickness.

I went on the same cruise as you 3 years ago and personally enjoyed it a lot.

7 Day Cruise on the Celebrity Century. It was a good experience, service was exceptional and food was great (actually gained 10 pounds that trip believe it or not)

Only thing that could've been better was the weather, but that's obviously beyond our control. Out of the 7 days we had 1 day were it was actually warm enough to enjoy their outdoor deck.

I remember for 4 or 5 days I would wake up, eat lightly for breakfast, hit the gym, then eat as much as I possibly could for lunch.

Would definitely go back onto another cruise in the near future.

How seasick were you? Were you just constantly throwing up?

Try bringing some gravol or ginger to suck on next time. It really helps with sea sickness.

I love cruises and have went on many

Including to:
Mexico
Alaska
East & West Carribbean.

It's great how everything (room and food) is taken care of).

Only bad thing as mentioned by OP is the sea sickness - this can be avoided by taking gravol or motion sickness medicine and making sure you are right in the middle of the ship

Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises. Both were good. Prefer Royal Caribbean over Carnival. Better clientele.

I personally love cruising. It's so relaxing. I know the main sterotype for cruising is that its for old people but it's frickin great! Everything is taken care of and all you need is your seapass to do whatever while your away. It can be on the pricier side but if you can afford it I think its well worth the experience.

I've been to the Mediterranean and Caribbean but most recently on the Oasis of the Sea's which is an AMAZING ship and achievement for man-kind. Seriously when this thing pulls up to port its like an entire skyscraper just appeared out of no where and when its next to other regular size ships it just makes them look soo pinner :fuckyea:

Going on the sister ship Allure of the Seas this March can't wait!

Been on the Alaskan cruise with Celebrity and overall it was a great experience. Going to save up for the Caribbean cruise and looking forward to going on the Oasis of the Sea's or Allure of the Sea's!
