Sorry to hear bout your NS, celica, but I hope everyone and their buddies lock up their boards. Look around the Cypress racks and I shake my head at the dozens of unlocked NS and Libs just waiting to get snatched.

Grab yourselves a cheap Dakine cable lock. Are they easy to cut? You betcha. But if you lock up your board right beside an unlocked Burton/NS/Lib, thieves are less likely to spend time cutting the locked one. It's a deterrent, and it increases your chances that you'll walk out of the mountain with your board at the end of the day.

It's a big investment, our setups. A $20 lock is well worth the peace of mind.

Edit: for those with really expensive setups, grab a bike lock or a heavy duty lock and lock it at a rack at the start of the day. Only really works in small mountains, but you can have a heavy duty lock waiting at a rack for you when you need it, without the burden of carrying around a bike chain in your pocket. Don't get a Dakine lock if you have a Burton Mystery.

I was up at Cypress last week and overheard a guy that got his board stolen. Cypress has a lot of thieves... The $20 cable lock is worth it...

Sorry to hear that your board was stolen...

Try 15, give it a few runs. It will feel weird at first, but it always does when you adjust your stance. The way I look at it, if you aren't riding switch 50% of the time, your should favour your body to be riding forward. I'm at 21 and -9, but I like it a bit aggressive.

These thieves are probably standing around waiting for someone to put something nice down. Then it wouldn't help. But then again, I know people that had their totally junk boards stolen.

my tires had one season left, which in reality in my opinion means they are DONE lol it was bad up at the top of the mountain where it was snowing and i kept sliding a bit while looking for parking. But then the parking lots themselves had more snow on them then the actual road, and thats what scared me. i knew if i went in i was gonna be stuck for sure lol
