Coaching session tonight at cypress. Should be fun. Getting a bunch of solid green riders comfortable riding icey hardpack conditions.

Gh0stRider 01-10-2013 04:04 PM

Wish the mountain didn't close so early. Had a decent day, still learning so it sucked being left behind while everyone went. Tried out 7th heaven which was dope. Was too scared to go on the t-bar tho lol. For the price tho... Prob wit return til I'm a better boarder

just got back from cypress and hot damn that place was icy... blue runs had ice up the ying yang... coulda held Red Bull's Crashed Ice on that place...

I'm not complaining, i ride better on ice, but the beginners i was with sure had a painful day out on the slopes today... hope they stick with it, though. there's no better teacher than an icy mountain.

RCubed 01-12-2013 11:33 PM

yeah cypress was SUPER icy today.
Went with 3 beginners, they didnt have a good time. lol

westopher 01-12-2013 11:46 PM

No snow in the forecast for any mountains in B.C. for the next 6 days. FUCK.

jello24 01-13-2013 12:44 AM

it's funny yeah but since I have more days on ice than in fresh pow means I'm more used to it. In fact my first serious ride on fresh snow didn't happen until last month so I'm kinda looking for more days like them.

GabAlmighty 01-13-2013 06:23 PM

Whistler was splendid on Friday, hopefully going again this Friday but only if they get some snow.

westopher 01-13-2013 06:39 PM

I might head up on sunday, but forecast is looking bleak. Lots of time for that to change though.

XplicitLuder 01-13-2013 10:50 PM

Buy your lift ticket at 711. Save you about $14.
Still expensive but better then nothing.

falcon 01-15-2013 05:50 PM

If anyone needs a lift ticket for Whistler, I have one I didn't use over NYE and don't know when I'll get a chance to go back up. $70 and it's yours
