Holy CRAP! Look what I found!

I was at my supplier`s today grabbing my new alarm system for my Subaru and he showed me this:

Its exactly what you think it is! Its a proximity keyless entry and alarm add-on! So if I`m about 3-5 feet away it will not only unlock my doors, it will disarm my Compustar alarm system too. UBER COOL! The tiny little fob is only an inch by an inch and a half and maybe a couple of mm thick. Can`t wait to try it out!

Price is about $130 on its own but you`ll need a Compustar keyless as well.

thats what a Benz has. Cool

Now can you also use that to omit the need of a Key in the ignition in replacement of a push button start? That would fuck up some thieves when they get in and you have no ignition for them to jimmy.....

Berz out.

The last line on the original post stated that you need Compustar keyless as well.

So I have to carry around the fob as well?

How hard is install?

You don't really need the keyfob as this little 'chip' has an override button on it so you can let people in the car if you are out of range. Can be used as keyless, or in conjunction with the alarm. This with Compustar Drone can make an awesome combo!

Berz, the technology is there but its still not failsafe quite yet.

Install is fairly straight-forward but I recommend a pro especially with the newer cars these days.
