2009 Corolla Suspension [HELP]
 

Hi guys, I have a toyota corolla 2009 and I'm looking for a new sport suspension that is comfortable enough for daily ride but reduce a lot of *stock* body roll. So a little stiffer is fine but nothing like a horse ride. Any idea what brand and type I should go with?

Thanks so much for your offer but I'm not in vancouver and this car is not in vancouver. I just do not trust the seller here because they are just biased to whatever they want to sell. If you don't mind, please give your review about the coilover that you have.

get the eibach pro kit and add some trd struts and sway bars

Eibach - Part# Eibach Prokit Springs 8296.140
TRD Strut bar - TOYOTA PART # PTR02-12080
TRD sway bar - PTR11-12080

Double check these part numbers and make sure they fit your car properly. I have the eibach pro kit and it lowered my ride height enough that it handled better in corners but not too low that I rub at every turn and every bump.

How about the shock?

What are you running now? OEM? How much are you willing to spend?

I have Eibach Sportlines on my Matrix and they are fine with stock shocks. It's been about 70k kms now.

I had S.Techs when I had the Corolla, that was a pretty stiff/harsh ride.

how's the ride with the sportlines? Sportlines is lower than pro-kit or higher stance?

Sportlines are usually lower and have softer spring rates than the Pro-kits.

I got TRD springs, front strut and TRD rear sway on my 09 corolla. It will help the handling alot. Other people i know have the eibach springs. It has a bit more drop than the TRD

Yeah, I would like to stick with TRD but it's just hard to find in my area. Usually third party brand such as eibach is easier. I might go with prokit but not too sure about the shock and struts. Any insight aside from the TRD?

Your Corolla uses struts on all 4 corners IIRC.
If you are just going with the Pro-kits, Koni yellow's should be fine.

Isn't Pro-kit and TRD springs almost the same? I read somewhere that Eibach made TRD springs (I could be wrong).

Sportlines are usually cheaper and lower than Pro-kit.

Pro-kit and TRD springs will not lower the car much, but if you are not going for looks then it doesn't matter.

If you have the money, just go with Tein SS coilovers. :badpokerface:

Not sure where you are but i bought my stuff from TRDsparks.com and shipped to point roberts to pick up.

I asked dealership how much the trd lowering spring would be. And they searched the price. $400! Tein s tech on ebay/amazon only around $160. Trdsparks plus shipping around $260.

ItIf you want good ride, get all progressive springs. If you want handling, get linear. I think trd and eibach are linear front and progressive in the rear. Just search up the brand to know the type of spring
