Why? It's just a wheel lift and dollies. Short of a flatbed, it's perfect.

If the car is lowered, you have to use the wheel lift and dollies. The tow truck driver doesn't want to risk scratching the car when going over bumps and/or pot holes. You could use a flatbed, but that's when you start doubling your costs.

If anything, the tow truck driver is using his/her due diligence and cares about your car, their livelihood and reputation.

The tow truck driver is a good friend of my dad's. Really good guy, and charged me a fraction of what other places charge. He actually just does this on the side; he also sells junk cars for scrap metal.

And no, ivtecyo, the engine is scheduled to go in on Thusrday. Cutting it real close to spring meet. :X
