This is about the same price as that modern new build in Brentwood, Kitchener and Nanaimo almost: https://i.imgur.com/AB95AAK.jpg https://www.rew.ca/properties/525420...t-vancouver-bc Which would you rather have? For me it’s a no brainer with this house |
I can smell the bengay and gold bond powder just looking at those photos. 3.4 mill. Fuck you retard RE market |
Yea I sent that to some friends saying fuck 10 years ago 3,5 woulda got you somthing pretty decent in west van |
Looks very high quality, but paint scheme needs work and it's really small... that price... ugh... Property taxes are no bueno too woof... $10k a year |
Someone built that house to live in imo |
Maybe it's the clunky furniture and the weird roof, but it doesn't look 3600sq, everything looks quite cramped |
I rather have this for less, at least nice back yard and big driveway https://cdn.realtor.ca/listing/TS638...R2804898_1.jpg https://www.realtor.ca/real-estate/2...avenue-burnaby |

A few of you are saying negative comments about decent looking houses, which makes me wonder - what does your current place look like? |
https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81HRqN0o8rL.jpg ^this. I think most of the negativity comes from seeing these homes with questionable build quality at fairly high asking prices. At these multi-million price points, I believe we all would like or want to see a higher bar for craftsmanship and attention to detail. |
When we looked for our new house we looked at location..can always build or reno a home worse case. Luckily house we bought was heavily renod. We set a new price point for our location when we sold our house in july. We got about 200k more then what we thought we would get considering no laneway or rental suite. Open homes were gong shows with lots of traffic. 13 initial offers including one lowball we told to fuck off. Asked everybody to resubmit best and final offers. New owners were 50k above everybody. We actually were rooting for a couple that did ask our realtor a lot of questions but a 50k difference is…50k. We had 2 doctors make offers on the home and they got outbid =/ Owners took possession last week. |
The finest of buddy guys ain't cheap, only the finest of imported craftsman :troll: Quote:

the vaulted ceiling bedrooms is an instant no for me. I would hate being in those rooms. Also, the back side of the house looks ugly AF. Whoever designed that had no idea what they were doing. |

We live in a 30-year-old house that we reno'd ourselves and I take pride in my house, the grounds are clean and the inside isn't cluttered, but will note it's nothing special. |
