^ jebus... when my kid grows up I'll have them talk to you for career advice. |
Work travel never bolds well. Maybe in your 20s but then you're too young to be given work travels. When you get to your 30s and in a family, then you get into a grey area. Your wife yells at you for being away for so long, when you've been eating at catcus club for 3 days straight, you WANT to eat a home cook chinese meal, but your wife says "i've been stuck at home for 3 days taking care of the kids, i want to eat out....let's go to catcus club" LOL. |
^ Cook it yourself when you get home. Sausage egg and instant noodles is easy stuff. Or even a pot of rice with green onion and eggs. |
Work travel sucks monkey ball. I remember the day when I was in sales and used to fly more often than time in Canada. It got so bad that once I've had a back-to-back flight to Asia. Like... I went to China to talk to a client. They couldn't make up their mind. After 2 days there, boss said, fuck it, just come back. I flew back and while I was in the air, the client made up his mind but wanted to talk to me only and no one else. So my boss sent my assistant to pick me up to the airport, only to send me right away. I basically flew the very same flight I came back with. After my son was born... I just didn't want to do that anymore. Yes... it's a job that's on track to clear over half a mil between everything. But at the sacrifice of health and family... no thank you. That being said, though... I do miss the day when I kinda had unlimited miles. At the peak, I think I had over 1.5M miles in my account and used to fly wherever my wife wanted to go in J/F as I would accumulate more miles that I spent on her trip before she's even begun her flight out. |
'It's disgusting': B.C. man offering free housing for 'girlfriend with benefits' The man is renting "a little one-bedroom studio" at no cost. A person has posted their studio for rent in Whistler with concerning criteria for the potential tenant. According to the rental listing on Craigslist, the person says the house is in the Nordic neighbourhood in Whistler and has a "little one-bedroom studio" available at "no cost." The catch? The person is looking for a "girlfriend with benefits." https://www.piquenewsmagazine.com/mu...nefits-7717613 |

The way to fly free is to spend money flying lol and spend a lot |

Wow the listing even says "I'm a business man in my 30s, handsome and fit" fuck I bet he already has applicants. |
Yeah I'm sure he's a real specimen if he's paying for it. |
This is the first time I've seen flooring done like this... is it just me or is this ugly af? Is this a new trend/fad? (This is a new build, Joyce by Westbank of course) https://i.imgur.com/SnF7K5f.jpg |

...finance department refused to reimburse the groceries because the $65 is "for a dinner meal not groceries", never mind that I spent $20 on groceries instead of 3x that for a sit down meal. |

I got some minor OCD, so I kinda like that the tiles all line up like that, lol. But yeah, the baseboard installs look like ass and the heater control is crooked. |
Hmm not a fan. The short aspect ratio and the lack of staggering seems to make the place look more cramped? Quote:
It's when stuff looks like it was intended to all line up perfectly that it looks very not ok to me :( |
Elbows too pointy 2/10 at best. |
More than you can afford pal West Bank |

I mean true enough; fwiw it's still nicer than my floor lol. But the choice in floor plank configuration isn't even a cost thing is it? I've never done a floor before but I would think doing the traditional stagger would draw the eye less to inevitable imperfections in lining them up. And using larger planks seems like it would cost less in labor, just having fewer pieces to install? But yeah, never done a floor before. Maybe it's less work chopping the end-pieces to fit when you can do them all at once. |
I don’t actually mind it, but it does give off like budget social housing vibes |
^ it's ok, I think what bothers me worse is the back alley that you're looking at and the light pole outside that reminds you that you bought the cheapest unit and can't afford a higher floor FeelsBadMan |

Anyone even verify its real or try to rent? Or just feeding a troll lol |
I’m tempted just to make a fake ad with some crazy BS so I can get on some news site and prove how gullible people are |

Birdman hand rubs, this is what happens when you want affordable but waits on private companies to lose money for you to charity. They don't. https://www.google.com/amp/s/vancouv...aabeeb0b7/amp/ |
