I think you vastly underestimate the type of experience and work involved in a sailing yacht lol |
thats why i was going to take courses locally. I get discounts being a part of that royal yacht club through work. Supposed to have done it in 2020 but then the pandemic ruined my plans. I watch a ton of YouTube videos and I can sail this single-handed with modern conveniences like autopilot, AIS, and all the marine electronics needed to keep it on course and safe. Not like spyballoon will be much help anyways, shes just gonna throw out a comment every few hours about me being stupid and how this is super dumb and not fun. |
You can often get into sailing by going to some marinas and there will be owners who need help for races, and they will show you the ropes. A co-worker of mine in Vancouver did this for many years, and in fact, he just got back from a 2 week race down to Mexico, I think? As a result, his wife also just handed him his divorce papers. So yeah. :lol |
im pretty sure the only way ill be able to buy this boat is if I am divorced. Shes not very supportive of my cocaine filled hooker barge |
For you poors who can't afford a yacht or a $30m estate there's a lot of money up for grabs this weekend with the lottery corp. Lotto Max: $70m plus 47 $1m prizes 6/49: $44m plus the $5m. |

My parents were thinking about buying a share in one of those. The presentation even preps the cost and how they can structure it so that whatever cost of the boat, they make it tax deductible and how trans-pacific on your boat is THE bucket list items blah blah blah. They didn't end up doing it, but one of their friends did. And they complained it as the worst investment they ever did when he invited my family to a cruise... to a point where I wasn't sure he was genuinely complaining or bragging. These sailing boats are a beauty though. I'd love to ride the "Hobz" if it's like this. |

Assuming we can somehow manage Mrs Hobz to agree, Those topless models are what I’m looking forward to. Whether Hobz is there or if I’m actually riding the Hobz is irrelevant. :ifyouknow: |

We did learn these few weeks that men can compete in women's sports. :ohgodwhy: |
https://www.zealty.ca/mls-R2916088/4...UE-Burnaby-BC/ A bizarre basement layout for a 3 bedroom suite. Tiny kitchen, weird hallways, and that laundry unit in the middle of nowhere. https://cdnparap130.paragonrels.com/...3db056154c.JPG https://cdnparap130.paragonrels.com/...56e0b7c651.JPG https://cdnparap130.paragonrels.com/...50d7b2fc11.JPG |
yah, that lower level prob should have been a 2 bd suite with some more space for other things like kitchen. The long narrow corridors, what are you going to do ... it's a duplex. But holy sh*t .. to the price tag of $2.385M !!! |
It looks like the plumbing stack runs through that short wall, so that does limit what you can do a bit, but man what an inefficient layout. |
Such a typical EI build to have a nasty plumbing clean out just hacked into the wall like that. At least position it above the stupid baseboard ffs..you can’t even really put a cover on it now |
I don't claim to be a structural engineer but even this would've helped with the efficiency (move the doors into nooks to at least get more usable space in the rooms, eliminate the weird hallway space): https://i.imgur.com/gBJKlSk.jpeg |
