One day when I go through them anyone is welcome to stuff I don’t want.
My setup is definitely not a purists dream but I think it’s pretty cool. I’ve got a turn table hooked into my Sonos amp which is hardwired into ceiling speakers
However, the Sonos amp works as a backbone component for my Plays, so I can wirelessly play vinyl throughout the entire house

So wait you are taking a analog signal converting it to digital then converting it back to analog? Might as well just use spotify and skip the turntable.
Check out https://www.discogs.com/ for vinyl record prices. you can even sell on the site.

I've been eyeballing old Marantz 22xx or Sansui 9090 amps when I start working on my audio cave later this year. Not looking to get the best ($$$) but something that works good enough for me and well maintained.
And a karaoke machine to perform more Celine on

The hardwired speakers in the living room via the amp input via RCA, so it’s an analog signal in the one room. If you want to get picky
Most people who would complain about it probably don’t have half the setup this one is anyways so not really too worried about it lol. Streaming the same audio throughout the house is great for parties etc. unless you have a complete hardwired system throughout like Westopher there isn’t really a better option currently. Even with all the shit Sonos is currently experiencing

Im joking.
I have two big ass 3 way speakers, tweeter, and horn mids...each with a 15 inch woofer, and then also a dual 21 inch subwoofer.
but I still airplay my music through Apple Music... through the receiver lol.
Ideally I would get two more 3 way speakers and set them up in tandem behind, to fake surround the music. and get another identical dual 21 inch sub to even out the bass... but the unit is huge and I don't really have the room... well the room isnt setup like that. If only I had a 600sq feet dedicated music room...
but truth be told I don't turn the sub on that often, cuz all the paintings on my walls go crooked and I'm pretty sure the entire building can feel it lol.
I'm not too big of an audiophile but I do like my clear deep bass... I really hate it when the low lows are substantially quieter.
I decided not to go the wireless route as... I feel like with actual wired speakers/subs... they can last a lifetime almost. where as with wireless setups... who knows in 10-15-20 years what's gonna happen. For me I can switch out my receiver to newer tech. But replacing entire speaker system cuz it went "obsolete" feels real bad lol... lol at people who bought HomePods that are now obsolete...
...I bought AirPods Max's

...I bought AirPods Max's | Yea.. Sonos is having some huge issues right now with connectivity. They updated their app and subsequently it seems like half their user base is now having major issues or their systems aren’t working at all.
They’ve also lost almost half their stock value and laid off 100 people in the 3 weeks or so this has played out. The risk you take with wireless equipment and such varried connectivity

And a karaoke machine to perform more Celine on | Honestly you can get a top of the line 90s/2000s AVR for a few hundred dollars that will be more powerful and have better connectivity the the vintage stuff.
I have a Chromecast audio that can do 192/24 lossless via optical to the receiver total cost like $100.

The old analog amps sound better too. Same vs Fosi - Class A/B is warmer and richer sounding vs the Class D digital stuff.

Yet they still have modern DACs that can process 192,/24

All amps sound the same. Why would you want something to change the sound of the original recording. Richard Clark had a 10K amp challenge and no one passed. https://web.archive.org/web/20130716...tests/ampchall

I tend to not like AVRs and prefer separate pre-amp/amps if needed. I have a Cambridge Audio AXA25, and that's enough to power my Klipsch RB61s. Quote:

i think the biggest benefit of renting boxes is that you have to give them back and not leave shit unpacked for like 6 months after you move lol

Last thing, I’ll check CL or FB for free cardboard assuming you are ok with used boxes. I listed mine on CL when I last moved, which I got free from CL in the first place. Left them on the driveway and a guy came to pick them up.

whenever i moved i used banana boxes. they are super sturdy, can be stacked even when heavy, have handles, and free if you ask the local produce market.

They car going to sound different because one is louder. But if you set the volume to the same level they will sound the same. If it can't be measured it's not real. way to much snake oil in the audio world.

Tell me a 500hp R8 drives the same as a 500hp M3. That's what you are saying right now.
Both amps does 1000w, but they will "sound the same".
I suppose if you only care about acceleration, but even then it would be different.

Dumb Q, but is there any new areas you guys were looking at for a RE Investment property in Canada?
Previously looked at Calgary, friends bought in, did well in 2023 purchase prices. But other than that picking seems slim.
Mostly doing VEQT and Chill but I have enough to DP for around a $200-800K place, but seems like everything sucks.

I think investment party is dead, maybe further out in Alberta? Given the new tenancy rule crap it just doesn't seem worth the hassle, unless you have a place that you can still air BNB, + current % doesn't help. Unless you bought a presale and still some how locked in a lower price, but rates still high.

They were well worth it, but don't do what I did.
Consider how heavy you are gonna make each lift. A bin full of comforters and a bin full of cookbooks was a bad call lol.
They aren't big enough to fit larger stuff in it but that's probably a helpful way of not making things way too heavy. I'd use them again for sure, and customer service has been really good and flexible.

Can the differences in sound quality of two amps be measured? Richard Clark tested tons of people who thought they could tell the difference and they all failed.
