Are you even in the city? Or some where in the outskirts? Calgary houses I've seen doesn't have garages, lots that big. Most is a double attached in the front with 2 car driveway or tiny detached single in the back with parking pad.

House is in Hawkswood neighbourhood, so its right across from Crowfoot Crossing... definitely Calgary proper. 19 minutes drive to the centre of downtown according to google maps.
It's a really big pie shaped lot and from what I gather in Calgary as long as structures only cover 55% of the land you're in the clear. Quote:

So basically an attached 2 car garage and a detached 3 car shop. Total unicorn of a house situation. I’m super excited to finally be able to do real car projects for the first time in my own space! | that's some awesome garage space. I'm assuming it's coming with the car lift?
I'm looking for a new house and a major must is a good decent 2 car garage

Actually buddy is taking the lift with him apparently... if you look close at the photos it isn't bolted into the floor. I don't mind to be honest, I feel like the lift should be in the 3 car shop, not the front garage... and I want a 2 post not a 4 post, can't do any wheel or brake or suspension work on that thing.

Unless it's an option box that wasn't checked.

It's rare to find a walkable suburb in Alberta that doesn't require taking a car everytime you leave the house. But in the summer you can walk to the mall, have drinks and dinner and walk home, which is rare in AB.

Calgary is dope, but I wish it could have the vibe of edmonton with the geography of Calgary.
Congrats on having the dream garage.

Edmonton is awesome and probably the only place in Alberta that isn't a pit of racism and homophobia. It wasn't like that when I left though lol.

I realize walking around half the year in Calgary is unrealistic weather wise, but I tried so hard to find a place that was walking distance to stuff... the American suburban style life of getting in a car constantly to drive to stripmalls for everything depresses me so much.
My current place in Richmond I'm about 20 minutes walk to the Canada Line... and this place in Hawkwood I'm about 20 minutes walk to the C-Train station and much shorter to the grocery stores etc. Super pumped about that. Even the local library is a hop and skip across a big street.
