Aritzia is for the poors. You aint jack shit till you buy "Ready to Wear" from Chanel or Hermes
That's out of my tax bracket sorry dai lo.
I worked in fashion apparel for a bit now and accumulated a nice collection of free high quality pieces. If I had the money, I would pay $500-1,250 for jackets / bottoms.
The quality is insane compared to mall stuff. Plus most of them are no-logo so you're incognito

While not always worth it in a lot of cases definitely worth it to spend the money. Let's not even talk high end stuff even when I shifted to buying Lulu Lemon vs your regular sports apparel brands my Lulu stuff for the same type of item would last 3-5 times longer. Of course there are some items I don't and won't like $300 or more on a blank no logo tshirt I'm happy buying 6 x $50 ones instead which to some people $50 is already expensive.

rightfully so, anyone spending money on ready to wear pieces from these fashion houses is utterly insane! 7k-10k for a thin little polyester dress? how about 1.2k for a T white t shirt
i'm ok with cheap mall stuff, if i accidently get mustard on my shit while eating a hot dog, or splash spaghetti sauce while eating, no harm no foul.
ruin a pair of $20 old navy jeans, no problem i'll go get another
plus i won't feel bad when i get fat an no longer fit it

I’d say 95% of my wardrobe is Lulu and it’s just all unmarked long sleeves, T’s and pants. Some people think it’s crazy to spend $65-$80 on a t shirt but when it lasts 4 years and looks pretty much new the entire time plus feels better than the cheaper alternative, I’ll never switch back
The annoying part is when you get something new/newish and inadvertently damage it. During new years I was stoking a fire at a friends place right before we were about to leave and caught my 2-3 year old arteryx jacket on the edge of the door, melted a nice hole in it. While I got 2-3 years out of it it was still in perfect condition moving forward but now I just put a stupid hole in an $800 jacket will try to get it sewn back together but is just like this ugggggg moment that I wouldn’t have in some cheap hoodie etc.
I did the same with a virtually brand new ski jacket was lit af and roasting marshmallows and in my attempt to put the fire out on the marshmallow flung the flaming ball of goo right onto the shoulder of my jacket… that was an expensive marshmallow.
I’m of the mind though that if you can’t afford to go out and instantly replace said garment without a second thought, then it’s quite a risk to be wearing something so expensive

The Aeroplan points claw back probably wasn't because of something you did. It was a plan wide policy change, and Aeroplan, TD, and CIBC are getting sued for it with a classaction lawsuit.
Thank you for being an Aeroplan Credit Cardholder. As you know, Section 10 of the Aeroplan Terms and Conditions states that Welcome Bonuses along with other bonuses, incentives and accelerators may be offered by Aeroplan and its financial institution partners as an incentive for a Member to become a holder of an Aeroplan Credit Card where that Member is neither currently, nor was previously, a holder of that type of Aeroplan Credit Card, regardless of issuing bank. In addition, the provisions provide that Aeroplan may, in its sole discretion, choose to limit the number of New Card Bonuses (including Welcome Bonuses) that a Member may receive in any period, and describes the remedies available to Aeroplan if a Member violates these terms.
As you have received more than the permitted number of New Card Bonuses for the same type of Aeroplan Credit Card, you are in violation of these provisions. As a gesture of goodwill, we will permit you to retain the additional bonus points earned as a result of the use of your Aeroplan Credit Card but will not permit you to retain the Welcome Bonus of the Aeroplan Credit Card. Accordingly, we have, pursuant to the Aeroplan Terms and Conditions, revoked the Aeroplan Points received by you in your Account from the excess Welcome Bonuses.
We remind you that as a member of the Aeroplan Program, you are obliged to comply with the Aeroplan Program Terms and Conditions and to maintain your account in good standing. Please review these carefully and ensure that you comply with these Terms and Conditions at all times.

Not my circle, which consists of prostitutes, pimps, and thugs… but my wife’s circle who are some snobby ass HK bitches. They spend money just to waste it and the more lavish and stupid the item the bigger the clout.
I'm trying to converge the image Hondaracer has put in our minds of water touching hangage in the seated position, overweight beer drinking/eating and Lulu lemon clinging clothes and it's not going well.

Man tha accidently damage hurts!
The bonus with some more expensive brands too is their warranty. Lulu has or had (i heard they changed it a bit) a warranty where it's lifetime essentially. I've brought back 2 pairs of shorts and 1 pair of pants because some wear and tear and some seems started breaking slightly. They took all 3 back and gave me the same credit to get whatever I wanted.

Holy... That must have hurt. Sorry for your loss.
I was just at Arcteryx today looking at Parkas. I would die if that happened to me.
Go buy your Dino skeleton jackets from the outlet in Seattle. I got a beta jacket for 300 usd a few years ago. The same dumb ass jacket in canadurrr was over 1000.
I got a zeta shell down there with goretex pro for 150usd too.

I went down my mom last month (she calls it the Fish bone brand lol), and the prices at the outlet here are better by quite a bit after currency conversion.
I couldn't stomach the prices, but my mom went on a mini shopping spree
I lucked out on a sale for my Beta AR at the NY outlet a few years ago. $200 US.
Arcteryx also has a good "functional" warranty. My Atom jacket cuffs had started to wear out, and after bringing it into Arcteryx to inquire about getting it fixed, they ended up giving me a full retail value credit. I replaced it with the hooded Atom jacket.
Am I in the fashion thread or the real estate thread?
Whichever thread it is, I been wearing $5-6 CAD Uniqlo T-shirts from Japan to help afford my mortgage.
I still have a bunch of $10 shirts from Threadless that I bought a dozen years ago or so that are juuuust starting to get worn out. I wear them a lot too.
