Because an organization who’s main purpose is protect public safety isn’t exactly enforcing something that their governing body says is essential to public safety. It’s just another mark on a police service that has eroded public trust over the years. |
If you’re having to take daily rapid tests is that not ensuring public safety? |

Rapid tests are cheaper, aren't they? I thought Costco sold them at like $15/test |
Someone in the media being has had their account cancelled for reporting sales data from Zealty: https://www.straight.com/news/real-e...ess-to-housing |
https://www.redfin.ca/bc/vancouver/1...home/155735527 Have I posted this house before? I can't remember. Anyway, I like to look at it every now and again. |

Imperial Oil, doesn't mandate having a vaccine, but if you are not vaccinated you have to pay to get tested out of your own pocket every morning before going to work... It's an easy out for any organization, respects those that dont want to get vaccinated, but heavily financially disensentivizes it to the point that they will just get vaccinated or quit. |

I think the interior look is more my style, but I would like to see more of the garage and drive way. My dream house I want lots of parking on the property. I like to randomly look at houses at a majority of them don't have much of a driveway. I think that's my main thing if I were to get my "dream" house. I would need a nice driveway. |
https://www.westcoastmodern.ca/properties/starshiphouse This is my dream home for sale at the moment. Anything by Erickson would do. Recently one of his townhouses in the complex he designed in west van was for sale for 1.8. It was one of those moments I sat down with a calculator and tried to figure out how far out of reach is too far. Turns out it’s well past too far. It was, for the price the most impressive home in the GVRD for sale in my opinion, because as we see from many new builds, money doesn’t come with taste. |

Oh wow. That seems like a good deal. Buy it, sell the front half and build the back half? Horse freak me the fakkk out though. I think i've seen too many horse kick videos... |
The address is actually 6822, they are probably in the process of trying to change it. Either that or they don't want people looking it up to see the assessments of $75K on the front lot and $2K on the back lot. Once you drop the farm status the assessment will rise and the taxes will skyrocket. If you plan to build the city will make you raise the foundation, it will cost a fortune to put 2 new houses there. And the elevation and ditches, I bet the lots were partially flooded last month. That place is for somebody with deep pockets. |
That lot is most likely been subdivided (2 freehold titles) and judging by the days on market, building something on that lot may be a PITA due to current zoning. |
Money talks No problem building SFD or anything for that matter in southlands |

Basically it's for really rich people who like to care for horses. There are some really nice mansions there though b/c the lot sizes are massive in that area - in theory you could build yourself a garage building that would make Jay Leno proud. |

Not impossible. Just need about 15-20mil and a whole lot of time and patience. |
I moved into a new development a month ago, the last 2 days the heat for the Den area was a bit funny. Room temperature shows 21-22 but the baseboard heat along the wall felt odd. One side of the baseboard heater is "hot", some sections "cold", and some "warm", so it was inconsistent. Initially thought thermostat was busted (i set it to 32 max last night to test, woke up with a cold Den lol), so the tech came over once I made a service request. Told me there is "air" in the system and they need to bleed the system. Told me this is normal for new buildings as the system still needs to get use to it and not all units are using the system. I ain't a plumber or tech, but seems weird out of no where the heat would become messed up? What exactly do they do when they need to "bleed" the system with these situations? |
