This was posted a few days ago too. I've lived here pretty much all my life and I just don't see the appeal or hype of Vancouver anymore. Let alone the costs of being here. Getting a detached is pretty much impossible. Yet very much achievable on the island or Calgary or even parts of Toronto.

Does anyone know what it means when a developer says there's a 2% assignment fee for a pre-construction.
Is that 2% on the original purchase price or is it on the new sales price?
For Example, you buy a pre-sale condo for $100,000 and you want to sell it for $200,000.
Do you have to pay the developer $2,000 or $4,000?
