Definitely not worth it. This heavy rain should be giving all the mountains a nice dump on "real" snow!

maybe tomorrow then? if those news reports about flurries in the lower areas are true, that should translate into real snow on the mountains hopefully?

black ice today people. i was heading out to work at 5am and saw tow trucks pulling out a civic in the ditch in front of gardenworks burnaby on lougheed.

weather forecast said -4'c but i saw -11'c on the temp display in the car?!?

the plow trucks are out deicing but too little too late i guess for some.

THIS was the incident back in our last BIG dumping of 2008 that made me a firm believer in winter tires. Alley way was a sheet of ice covered with snow. absolutely no traction... it didn't help that the TL was an auto though.

It was -45 this morning and no amount of cranking would start the Toyota. Finally got it started this afternoon.

How cold is it in Vancouver again?

Oh, and I don't have winter tires. Just mud terrains and a locker.

Smart move getting out of your car while it is in gear and the wheel is spinning. Would have been hilarious if you had gotten traction and it went through that fence...
