Also, implying it would be hilarious to run someone over with your car is... Not the brightest thing to say... |

I let my truck idle along in gear while I walk alongside it. This is to check and make sure that my hubs are disconnected. |

i think someone has posted this before but it is worth watching again: |

From today: winter tires vs low rolling resistance tires! I saw a forum somewhere where prius owners were erecting massive boners while bragging about the advanced technology that is their fuel-saving tires. :fuckthatshit: |
When the lows get to 7degrees a few times is when I put the winters on the TL. That is when the regular rubber in an AS tire gets to hard to deal with the cooler temps and you will begin to see the benefits of the winters......or so I am told from the manufacturers :P |
Takes a bit longer for the tires to warm up, but I don't see any disadvantages until it actually snow. |

I saw a girl in a 335 stuck on a steeper section of lonsdale in NV. There was barely even a dusting of snow on the ground.:lawl: |
They're better on snow and ice for one, and are likely better in the wet too. At around 7 deg I doubt there'd be much of a difference, but considering that by the time we're under 7 consistently it's likely mid-November, so really why not put them on. By then there's a chance that we'd get a blast of arctic air. |
Too much grip with my underpowered car on Blizzaks, but very predictable when hooning. Posted via RS Mobile |

In vancouver weather when its NOT snowing, is it really necessary? I don't think so. All seasons will be sufficient |

Your AS tires are hard as a rock when the temps drop. This means lack of grip, cold temps mean less friction on the road and easier to slide or skid even when there is no snow. Winter tires does NOT mean snow tires. |
Driving to school with a friend off RS yday, almost got into two accidents lol. IDK about you guys, but my snowtires saved my ass twice -- in both cases I stopped with inches to spare. Oh yeah, in vancouver I'll take a small FWD car with winters over a heavy AWD SUV anyday, when there's weather like this anyways. |
Heavy SUV's tend to not fair well in the city when it comes to snow. Sure they have weight to get the initial traction, but it is that weight (momentum) that makes it harder to stop. A little EG hatch with some snow tires is a great winter car. Light so it does not sink in deep snow, has the traction to get moving and not as much weight to bring to a stop. |
But boring as fuck to drive in the snow. |
