Same here, i was actually planning to take mine off end of January as it was relatively warm. Glad I got lazy and procrastinated. My winter rubbers really helped out this evening. The roads were getting really bad when I went to to pick up pizza. Saw a Bimmer's wheels just spinning in the icy roads while accelerating from a stop sign. Must be running on bald summer tires lol. |
^ Every time i see a new 3 series/c class/gl/glk it seems they have bald summers... |

For those who haven't gone back to summer mode yet.. I think I this weekend is a good weekend to start checking out your summers (The temperature at night is still sub 10 so I think the conditions are still marginal for full on summer tires, my clown shoe's rear was a bit squirrely when I took it for a drive). If you haven't yet, at the end of last season, wash your summer wheels. Once they are cleaned and dried, apply a few coats of wax if you don't like brake dust (good wax adhesion will make washing dust off much easier during the season) just cheap 3M wax you get from XSCargo etc will suffice. Also check for any abnormal wear and fill them up with air to your car manufacturer's or personal preferences. |
