Read the Description for your listing, how would WE know if the seller sells headlights in pairs. But they usually do.

Unless it says Driver's Side, or Passenger's Side, it should be a pair.
Usually the item description is very clear. Also, you are definitely in the wrong section. In fact, you're in the wrong site. eBay - Deals on new and used electronics, clothing, collectables and more on eBay should help you better |

It'll be in the description. If not I usually pass on the posting instead of asking the seller. Sellers who take the time to document and post pictures will let me make a more informed decision.

if it does not specify in the description, always ask the seller. You can never be too cautious

Since you're new to eBay.
Might as well give you some tips just in case you don't already know.
Always take in account of the seller's Feedback Rating, as well as the number of sales.
Many people have shops set up on eBay though, so the eBay stores are more trustworthy,
and they usually have lots and lots of sales over the years to back up their credibility.
Be careful dealing with private sellers who have very limited stuff or just a few items sold,
even if their Feedback is 100% (100% of 10 sales means jack)
Always read the descriptions carefully, word for word, including the fine print.
All item details should be in there, as well as any combined shipping details and such.
Always remember to account for the shipping price. Some sellers like to sell items low, but jack up the shipping.
In the end, what only matters to you is how much is coming out of your pocket.
Finally, ask the seller about any questions about the item. Don't be afraid to hassle them.
If they take too long to reply, I would go with another seller. And if you really want to be safe,
it never hurts to contact the seller with some bogus question just to make sure you're even dealing
with an active seller on the other side.

Headlights are traditionally sold in 1/2 quantities to make the price more appealing. You need to buy 4 OP. Some assembly is usually required (usually just a little packaging tape to hold the 2 sides together).
