68style and kodamu... if you see one of these in person pls let me know how good it is?

1/18 onemodel final production pics. it's on ebay for over $260usd + shipping and i am not sure that is a good price

they've since fixed the lights and the mirrors no longer look like elephant ears, but the honda badging is still inset/incorrect, and there is something a bit off with the side window trim... still, it looks good.

tofu1413 10-30-2015 04:04 PM

i had to flip the pic because it was facing the wrong way, which is why you see the fuel door.

Funny I saw your ITR models at CS-Models in HK and took pictures even though I never saw your post! I'm not ITR expert but they looked pretty nice to me!

I'll try and figure out how to post pics on here without my laptop cuz they're too large for RS to accept as attachments.

!Kodamu 11-03-2015 01:38 AM

When you went to cs-models. Did you goto toyzone to see what old models were there?

68style 11-03-2015 07:35 AM

Toyzone was literally the only shop I didn't go to only because everyone said their prices are so sky high.

I even had to go back to model car expo twice because of heir stupid VIP only upstairs rule and also only if there's more than 1 worker present because they stand up their with you the whole time. Lots of great second hand stuff there, wish I'd had more time and patience since almost all the boxes are turned sideways and you can't see what's there.

egh, i remember a model shop long ago in the heart of new westminster that did the same thing, but it was the basement. you had to be supervised by a staffer because they had too many incidents with shoplifting and people stripping parts from the used stuff :(

I'm not affiliated with Hobby Link Japan, but this was just released a few days ago in Japan, and I think you guys might be interested. Much cheaper than on eBay

1/43 scale drifting
Tomy Drift Package Nano

https://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljlist?...t+nano&x=0&y=0

370Z, FD3S, Sileighty, 180SX, AE86

Joint venture between Tomy and Yokomo, for a pretty legit small scale drifting. I bought the 180SX, I'll review when it comes in

I actually found quite a bit of models from toyzone and very good prices. Mind you that was all 1/43. Even saw some models I didn't even knew came out before. Worse is models pro now in mk. You cant even go inside his shop now because of all the stacks of boxes of models he has. I'm fine with modelcarexpo in waiting for me in the upstairs section as long as the aircon is on. But last few times i went. The owner just leaves me alone up there.

Yes that's a cf hood and cf spoiler, I've never seen the original model before but I think they also changed the hood hinges.

Overall I give it an 9/10
$60 shipped from HobbyLink Japan

So I got my Tomy/Yokomo Drift Package Nano at the end of this week, and I'm extremely pleased

Stock photo, but I have the 180SX in blue
Requires 4 AA batteries, in transmitter. The transmitter doubles as a charger for the car which has a built in Li-Ion battery

About 5" in length. Good size

The technology in this thing is amazing.

FULL-TIME 4WD in a tiny size.
Tires are all smooth, runs only on smooth surfaces, not carpet
2 speeds with noticible difference in speed/power
Not too loud
A LOT OF FUN

All ready to run out of the box, it has some small stickers. Very good pricing for anyone wanting to get into R/C drifting, but doesn't have the time to build their own 1/10 scale, or doesn't have the space to store their 1/10 scale.
You can actually countersteer
The only small nitpick that I have is that there is a tiny (about 1 second) worth of lag in response when you go from Forwards to Reverse. I think it's just the nature of the electronics. There is no lag when driving Reverse to Forward

I would highly recommend this to anyone even thinking of getting into R/C drifting - great price, great value, and easy to deal with.

i sent my old autoart s2000 to germany over a year ago to tk diecast to get modified... it's finally done and they sent me this pic before shipping it out:
