it is the Detolf case....well the glass shell and supports...the base and top i built myself...still have to fix the grooves as my cutting skills were a bit weak....and install a mirror on the base...and maybe stain it
The glass shelves I got cut at Michael's...I used their custom framing service (glass is a bit thinner then the standard detolf case glass) i got it cut 11.75"x 15"
I used rope clamps from Home Depot to support the glass (recommended on another website to use these)

Any body that is looking to expand their Ikea Detolf cabinets. I found a place that can cut me a piece of glass for $10. Or anyone found better deals out there?

^if you do it the way I did it....get framing glass cut from michales and use printable coupons from their website i got mine cut for $4.50/piece.... Arts & Crafts | Michaels.com Canada
however the thickness of glass maybe be greater at your place...it has not been a issue for me so far as I have 3 cars on each shelf

krazynuck: those are very cool. I think I might have to get the Red Bull Racing car. Is there an online site you recommend and which manufacture do you prefer.

my dad has been a huge nascar fan for years...say what you want but the sport is actually pretty cool for the barn yard technology it has. an example is the normally aspirated 357 ci v8 engines that just last year became fuel injected running at 9500 rpm with 900 hp. anyway he has over 200 nascar diecast models...and not the cheap ones either. he also has over 250 franklin mint diecast cars. collection is huge!!!

anyone who wants to buy Diecast locally, go to Wilkinson's Automobilia. Off Broadway on Ontario. Car, Motorcycle Models, Books, Manuals, Hobby — eAutomobilia they have a decent selection of Japanese cars. also they will order anything you want.

I have a 2012 RedBull Vettel coming in the mail as well in the next week or two....
For brand I prefer Minichamps (this will be your Red Bull or McLaren)...I like the elite hotwheels (Ferrari's)
Wilkinsons (locally)
Ck-Model cars in Germany
Ebay
those are the main places I get my cars
