Too bad about the rear view mirror...if you are going to use crazy glue to reattach the rear view mirror, use a tooth pick to apply the glue on very lightly.
Good luck with the repairs.

But I'm pretty sure the final product will look good.
But, on the other hand, why do they use such crappy pics to represent what they will produce? It looks like a badly scanned magazine pic.
Just my opinion...

| 1/18 Autocraft Lykan Hypersport
Hi Everyone,
I just recently got this diecast model. You either like it or hate the way this car looks. It is the Lykan Hypersport by W Motors, a UAE based company, founded in 2012. You may recognize this car from Furious 7, and in video games such as Project Cars, Drive club, Forza Motorsport 6, and other driving games.
Real Lykan HyperSport
W Motors only built 7 Lykan Hypersport. The price of Lykan HyperSport is US$3.4 million dollars, which makes it a little bit out of reach for most of us. If you don't have $3.4 million dollars in your bank account, you can always buy a 1/18 scale version of the Lykan HyperSport for $99.00 USD. After the exchange rate to Canadian dollars, and the cost of shipping I paid around $170.00.
So who is Autocraft? From what I know Autocraft is a German Company, and it seems like they are relatively new manufacturer. Couldn't find much about them on Google. There was no website on the packaging. But what I found out in my research is that they produced the Lykan Hypersport with the collaboration of Welly.
My initial thoughts about the car when I opened the package was...Nice model...I was surprised about the quality and details for price I paid. I mean this model is pretty much bang for your buck. Photo etched meshes used for the front and rear grills. Support rods for the front and rear hoods. Nice detail interior with seat belts. The driver and passenger doors are well designed, and the carbon decals are applied nicely. And the front wheels are steerable. AND it is DIECAST METAL! If AutoART was to produced a model like this with their present technology, it will be north of $300.00, and would be in plastic.
The paint finish in my opinion is satisfactory. It certainly did not make the model look cheap, but I think the paint finish could have been a bit more refined and deep.
The brake and rotor details could be improved. It looks a bit too plastic. I think Autocraft could have used PE parts for the rotors. This will help add details to the model.
The moveable rear brake wing compared to the Jada Lykan, is better executed.
Rear brake closed position
Rear wing open position
Now the question some collectors are asking, is this worth buying over the Jada version? In my humble opinion, a definite YES. There are details that you will not find on the Jada version, for example the door and engine details, and few others. Then again there is the price difference. Jada US$44.00 and US$99.00 for Autocraft. The Jada Lykan, I think is a budget model and it is aimed towards the beginner collector. While the AutoCraft version is more towards the seasoned collector. If you really like the Lykan HyperSport and Jada and Autocraft don't tickle your fancy, Top Marques does produce a Lykan in resin and cost quite alot.
Jada 1/18 Lykan HyperSport
Jada 1/18 Lykan HyperSport
Top Marques - Sealed Resin
I will let you guys be the judge.
Enjoy the pics. Comments are welcomed.
Happy Collecting
William

The Maisto motorcycles are only okay... they're nowhere near a Minichamps or Autoart... they're $10-14 models in the stores, I used to have a bunch of Yamaha and Ducati ones and they're great from a few feet away and not that great up close.

Wanted to go check out Walmart (Richmond central) last night but couldn't make it in time. Went in today and found they have two dump bins and the pegs 60% filled with cars. This is all I can find...most of the cards are either bent or half destroyed :/. Some lady went through both bins before I got there. When I left, she was still digging...
The KITT is doubled because of short and long card. Found the F Type just sitting on a bottom shelf and the only 1M that wasn't destroyed or half opened.
I didn't notice the plastic was already broken when I placed it in my shopping bin...
