Costco occasionally carries the Maisto models in the toy isles. It can be hit or miss when they carry it.

Walmart for sure has 1:24 cars you just missed it... the entire movie cars and F&F theme are in 1:24 I’ve never not seen them there and there’s sometimes 1:18 as well.

They’re usually on the shelf below the Greenlight 1:64... at Toys R Us they usually stick the bigger ones in an area with the RC cars for some reason.

Sorry to bump this old thread buuut.... are there any local die-cast shop that might have good allocation for AutoArt new releases?

I just realized AutoArt has decided to

re-release the Lexus LFA White 78850 next Spring 2022, but it seems no one can say if they will be able to get it. Yes... the new one is a composite... welp... I missed out on the die-cast so what can I do lolol.... the old die-cast ver. pricing is to the moon.

I also seemed to have missed out on the re-release of the NSX-R 73219, also coming early 2022, seems like Championship white is all but sold out... still some allocations left for the black one.. buuut aiiii

Locally, don't think i've seen any shop that carries new releases. AutoWorld in metrotown used to have some but not sure about new release. Passion Diecast seems to get new ones but they ship out of Quebec iirc.

AutoArt wasn't able to license the new NSX models for sale in North America... just the one with the black carbon fibre hood for some reason which you can find a few places in North Amertica or you can still pre-order it (along with the all black one) here: https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=TOY-SCL3-37008. The all white, blue and red ones are sold out already on that particular site.

This NSX is not a re-release though, it's the first time AA has made the fixed headlight version. All previous AA releases of the NSX and NSX-R were pop-up headlight models.

Also yes they're all composite including the LF-A re-release.

Also be forewarned, if you do get one, a lot of people have been complaining online that AA's quality control has gone in the shitter and reporting a lot of issues with early NSX-R models such as paint blobs, random glue in places and I saw at least one fucked up headlight that was missing paint inside.

Yoma Hobby is local and pretty good, they have a website and store but I think the store has been closed all of COVID... decent prices... they sell out fast of popular models though.

BTW if anyone is looking for the recent Maisto 1:18 from Costco... I have the Bugatti Divo and Lamborghini Vision... bought both of them and then realized with limited space it wasn't a good idea.

but got tired of the traditional IKEA 'detolf' glass display cabinet...so got rid of that and opted for glass shelves.

Thought it would be a great addition to the 'theater room' downstairs...
