That's the special edition AE86. Not the Initial D ones. Funny thing is I always wanted a red one but none were out when I got this. 2 months later, Autoart came out with the red one -___-

We need a thread for diecast airliners... (I don't just collect cars)...and yes, that Canadian B747 is massive.

Not mine but that's what it looks like. It's an old Japanese brand made out of tin and comes with a friction drive. Apparently one of these in mint condition with the original box can fetch for over $10,000. Mine, however, has no box, has a busted friction drive and has dents from being played with.

I know I had fun playing with it as a kid, but god damn... if someone had told me it would be worth a shit load of money when I was younger, I would have made my parents place it in a lock box at the bank. :lol

Decided to sell this thing on Ebay a couple weeks ago. Apparently this thing has a far bigger collector base than I had originally thought. There were people from Japan, Australia and all over Europe asking specific questions about it. Ended up going for a couple hundred bucks, which isn't much, but considering it's 50+ years old and is half busted, I'm more than happy with it. :lol

Also swung by Wal-Mart on my way home from work today and picked up some Hot Wheels. :fullofwin: E30 and E46 M3, an AE86, and a few other ones that piqued my interest. I've no idea why I buy 'em; they just end up going into a box in storage :lol Maybe once the basement is finished, I'll finally have a proper display case. Or... maybe in the garage once it's finally wired for power.

A company with the name RMZ bought all their tooling and have started producing 1:18 models (SL63, BMW X3, ) but no signs of their Porsche/drift car series.

just curious: do you find that the price of a sealed body car is worth the money? i am stuck with the mentality that for that kind of cost it should have opening doors, a detailed engine bay, etc.

The EF Civic should be out early next year, can't wait. Looks like something used on the Osaka Loop.

depends on what kind of model...

the 993 was extremely well detailed. besides, I don't open the doors anyways when I display mine, so not a big deal for me.

the Resin cars do have nicer paint job and finish!

i was hoping they were going to re-release the originals but i guess not (just like autoart did with UT :( ).

but i do have to admit their SL63 AMG does look nice in the pictures:

but after reading some of the diecast message boards it says that this is actually an Absolute Hot reissue. apparently RMZ bought them out as well.

There is a toy show this Sunday Dec 1st at Pitt Meadows Recreation Hall

I will have a table there with some decent stuff for sale, mostly 1/64s. Come over, say hi, and those who mention this thread will get a little something extra with any purchase :D

I will be wearing a Superdry Windcheater w/ orange letters that day, hope to see some of you there!

darkintegraboy 11-28-2013 01:55 PM

Does anyone know where I can get a ebbro tsx these days or anyone have one for sale?
