I don't care myself, I feel bad for thumper wasting his time and your excuse is pathetic / doesn't even make sense, you deserve to get called out so everyone here knows not to do business with you. Mission accomplished.

Yup. Way sadder than someone who has to hustle for days on end and screw another guy over for $10.

I called Wilkenson today to see what the price is for it. The person I talked didn't know about the upcoming release for it. He's going to check if they are going to sell it.

imo ban cls63 from this thread i'm of him posting back and forth trying to buy/sell shit in this thread when this is a picture thread.

also tired of looking at the same photos of the same diecasts especially when half of them i have to do this

Ya, I was debating between the white or blue one but the white one was cheaper so I went with that. The mirrors was such a bitch to put on though since the screws is so small.

I got mine from Wilkinson's. The price difference was only maybe less than $10 between the white and blue or black. Mirrors were definitely tricky. Had to readjust both ends of each mirror multiple times to get it in the right position and as symmetrical as possible. IMO, still worth it for the level of detail.

I want this so badly. It's nothing cool like a Zonda, but it just screams 1980's.

professionalism is probably the last thing i'd expect from a young guy who acquired a shelf-load of models within a few months

For the 1/18 scale IS300s, on ebay, they are all around the $110 - $130 dollar range, which is quite the mark-up considering this was a 1st gen AutoArt model (they were not as detailed as they are today)
first releases are always the most expensive, regardless of the lesser quality if it was a popular car.

what price range and color were you looking for? is300 or altezza version?

IIRC, the very first few generations of AutoArt started out at $60-$80 range.

I'm looking for a silver IS300

but are you referring to prices when it was new, or today's current prices?

...so I have a fairly decent collection of 1:18 Autoart models (all sealed in boxes) that have been stored in my parents crawlspace for about 5-6 years. The collection was skewed towards Japanese sportscars and WRC competitors. My intent was always to bring them home once I had an adequate display case. Unfortunately, my parents had a flood in their crawlspace a few months ago and they lost virtually everything... this is the first time I have been able to work through what was salvaged and all but three models are gone.

The lesson? Enjoy your models while you have them .... I had about 20 that I never enjoyed and now all but 3 are gone. I'm going to bring them home and park them next to my GF's F1 1:18 scale Minichamps model even if I don't have an adequate display case.

Sorry to hear.

This may sound stupid, but if insurance covers it.... Should get an estimated value on those discontinued models... Maybe insurance will cover some of the cost of the loss of them??
