If anyone happens to come across a cheap silver or black 1:18 AutoArt NSX that's even possibly broken let me know! I'm looking to pick one up for a hobby project.

I took off the gloss black cabinet covers of my ikea tv stand and put the car on top and went crazy with light painting. You could do it on a black too glass table too!

sigh. i'm gonna miss this place

it was standing room only. lots of people bringing their youngsters in to experience the moment. it's not going to be the same as looking at tiny pictures online.

there was a 1/8 scale aventador that made me cry. mostly because it was beautiful. also because it was $1100

there is one black gtr34 left if someone wants one, and two white nsx type-r's. the celica i wanted someone already bought before i got there today. there was a lot of consignment stuff i had never seen before that has been filling up the shelves as they get emptier. tons of vintage UT stuff NIB for example that i didn't know existed...

posters some of you might be interested in:

i also took the opportunity to give my best wishes to ross. he might be leaving end of this month before the store closes. he's getting out of the whole business entirely.

this is goodbye...

Yeah it's a real shame to see that place go. I've been waiting until I get a new job to save up some money and go crazy shopping in there, but I guess it's not meant to be!

huh. did i run into you there? i was there around 11am and stayed for almost an hour because of the crowds... there was this one person who bought so much he needed help carrying everything to his car.

did you also see all the porsches parked outside? i should have taken pics but it was raining so hard... it was almost like a club meet.

at least go and visit one last time. it's never going to be the same after they are gone

i was flat broke after buying the police car posted above, but i could not leave empty handed so i got the two display models in the front case: otto mobile g60 corrado and a mk1 golf gti pirelli edition. they were already discounted before the 30% off so i thought i would buy them to mod. looking at real billet wheels out of a seller in germany and the zender resin transkit for the corrado at the moment :yay:

just out of curiousity how much are they selling the nsx-r after discount? not that I have the money or shelf space...

also, is it okay to display autoart signature models open for an extended period of time? My display case only allows enough to room to open it at 80-90% the way and I'm paranoid that the bonnet strut support will get weak/not flexible after a while

it would be 30% off this price:

HONDA NSX Type R 1992 Championship White Acura - Auto Art 1:18 Diecast - eAutomobilia

not sure about the 2nd question. i tend to leave things closed because i hate dusting inside. i tried using compressed air once and ended up blowing away small loose parts and never did it again
