Autoart had them for like $250 when it was new. The interior is pretty nice though, ACTUAL LEATHER SEATS (doesnt really matter unless you run your fingers on them) and the carpeting was nice too

I'd get the Merc. Even if you don't collect them chances are AA won't have them in future 1/18 models and only $$$$ 1/12 so you're sitting on a good resale value.

I have a standard black bookshelf with plain acrylic display case.

Should I tape up some LED strips on the backboard or just buy these?

Strips will be cheaper. Case will not necessarily be cleaner because I still have to find a way for the USB to plug into the wall. Probably brighter though because it's directed onto the model instead of coming off the back. The adjustable light posts doesn't look very clean though?

egh, the cheapest pre-discontinued price i could find online was $195usd. was white first release? because the other colors seem to vary widely in price.

LED...amazon seems to have bad reviews though so for almost $50 after exchange it doesn't look to be a good buy.

No, I don't think there is a local dealer for Ignition brand... I bought it from amiami.com

I was on a waiting list because it sold out, but it came available again so I snapped it up... not sure if they still have it

That's 1/43 scale right? How is the quality since it's so small?

I have been working on a blog I wrote on Lamborghini, using the diecast models I have collected.

Please take a look at my blog and feel free to give any comments!

It's really nice IMO I can't find anything to complain about on it... and it's got a sewn leather base with a metal plaque describing the car... I don't have a 1/18 Ignition model to compare it to but it's at least on par with 1/43 Ebbro's if not packaged a little nicer

how much did you pay total landed on your doorstep? because i still see them on yahoo japan, but i am uncertain of the market value because the prices are all over the map.

I'm the first to admit I'm an absolute horrid photographer haha... all I know is pictures turn out better in natural light which is pretty n00b obvious lol. I recently bought a decent camera and am trying to learn... but some of you were asking about details on the Ignition Z so I took it outside and shot a few... not great, but I think you can see the detail level a lot better:

The most important thing to remember when first learning photography is to get the focus right on top of having a good composition. Other things will follow.

The car looks great btw!
